创世记 21:14-17 含义

面对艰巨的任务,亚伯拉罕毫不犹豫地按照上帝的吩咐去做;他一大早就起来送夏甲和以实玛利离开。他们没有被赶走,而是和平地离开了。亚伯拉罕为他们提供了食物、面包和一皮袋水。亚伯拉罕把男孩交给夏甲,这意味着他将以实玛利的监护权交给夏甲,从而放弃了对儿子的责任。创世记 16:16 告诉我们,以实玛利出生时,亚伯拉罕已经 86 岁了。所以以实玛利 14 岁时,以撒出生。假设以撒在 2-3 年后断奶,那么当亚伯拉罕把他和夏甲送到旷野时,以实玛利大概 16-17 岁。

过了不知多久,皮袋里的水用完了。他们的面包很可能也吃完了。夏甲放弃了生存的希望,于是把以实玛利留在荒野的一丛灌木下。她把他留在那里,坐在他对面,离他大约一箭之遥,大概有 100 码,这样他就看不到她了。她开始祈祷,不要让我看到这个男孩死去。她担心他们会饿死和渴死,无法忍受看到儿子死去的想法。

夏甲绝望地放声大哭。以实玛利的名字意为“上帝听到了”(参见创世记 16:11),这很贴切。上帝听到了男孩的哭声。不仅夏甲为儿子的生命而哭泣,以实玛利也在他被遗弃的灌木丛下独自哭泣。听到以实玛利的哭声,上帝立即做出了回应。

上帝的天使从天上呼唤夏甲,一个声音从高处传来。它说,夏甲,你怎么了?不要害怕,因为上帝已经听到了孩子的声音。上帝听到了他们的烦恼,并做出了回应。他的帮助来自下面的经文。

听到天堂的声音,夏甲无疑感到安心。这不是主的天使第一次来拯救夏甲(创世记 16:7)。上帝的恩典延伸到夏甲和以实玛利。他们没有得到他们想要的东西,但他们仍然得到了一份大礼。
