箴言11章11节，所罗门写道： “因正直人的祝福，城必高举；因恶人的口，城必败落。”（第11节）正直的人以祝福促进社群的繁荣，而恶人则以言语破坏城池。所罗门再次表明，言语和品格塑造着我们周围的世界。
正直之人所蒙福，不仅体现在他们的言语上，也体现在他们的生活方式上。正直之人为公共生活带来稳定、慷慨、真理和忠诚的行动。当一座城市的人民因公义而坚强，而非因自私而衰败时，这座城市便会兴盛。
