诗人随后洞察到敌人的险恶用心： “因为我的仇敌议论我，伺机谋害我性命的人彼此商议” （第10节）。由此可见，敌意并非偶然；有人蓄意谋害，企图利用人们认为神不在的时刻。诗人敏锐地意识到这些威胁，并坦诚地向上帝倾诉他的恐惧。这种坦率揭示了他深厚的信赖，表明即使身处阴谋之中，他仍然呼求上帝的拯救。他对上帝的倚靠与敌人的诡计形成鲜明对比，有力地表明对全能者的信心远胜于人的阴谋。
