The Bible Says
Proverbs 13:25 Meaning

In Proverbs 13:25, Solomon concludes, The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, but the stomach of the wicked is in need (v. 25). This final proverb contrasts satisfaction with lack. The righteous experience enoughness, while the wicked remain empty.

The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite because righteousness aligns a person with God’s provision and trains desire into healthier form. Satisfaction is not merely the accumulation of more, but the fitting meeting of real need within God’s order.

But the stomach of the wicked is in need. Wickedness is restless. It does not know how to be content, because its appetites are disordered and ever demanding. Even where much is possessed, emptiness remains. This closes the chapter by showing that wisdom leads toward satisfied life, while wickedness leads toward ongoing lack.
