Unchecked Copy Box1Ki 4:3 - Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, chronicler;
Unchecked Copy Box1Ki 4:4 - and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
Unchecked Copy Box1Ki 4:5 - and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the superintendents; and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, the king's friend;

Unchecked Copy Box1Ki 4:7 - And Solomon had twelve superintendents over all Israel; and they provided food for the king and his household: each man his month in the year had to make provision.

Solomon's Power, Wealth and Wisdom

Unchecked Copy Box1Ki 4:20 - Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
Unchecked Copy Box1Ki 4:21 - And Solomon ruled over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

Unchecked Copy Box1Ki 4:23 - ten fatted oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowl.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
