Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:1 - The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him:
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:2 - What, my son? and what, O son of my womb? and what, O son of my vows?
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:3 - Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to them that destroy kings.
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:4 - It is not for kings, Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for rulers to say, Where is the strong drink?
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:5 - -- lest they drink and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the children of affliction.
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:6 - Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto the bitter of soul:
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:7 - let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:8 - Open thy mouth for the dumb, for the cause of all those that are left desolate.
Unchecked Copy BoxPro 31:9 - Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and minister justice to the afflicted and needy.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
