Died: April 23, 1919, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Hoss graduated from Emory & Henry College, Virginia, in 1869, and subsequently became president of the school. He was also a bishop in the American Methodist Episcopal Church South, and professor at Vanderbilt University. From 1885 to 1890, he edited the Christian Advocate in Nashville, Tennessee. His works include:
