Summoning his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every[fn] disease and sickness.[fn]

Then he commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

When he entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching and said, “By what authority are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority? ”

“To one he gave five talents,[fn] to another two talents, and to another one talent, depending on each one's ability. Then he went on a journey. Immediately

Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks, he gave it to them and said, “Drink from it, all of you.

His betrayer had given them a sign: “The one I kiss, he's the one; arrest him.”

“how he entered the house of God in the time of Abiathar the high priest and ate the bread of the Presence ​— ​which is not lawful for anyone to eat except the priests ​— ​and also gave some to his companions? ”

“Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it didn't produce fruit.

brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl. Then the girl gave it to her mother.

and asked him, “By what authority are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority to do these things? ”

As they were eating, he took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is my body.”

The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.

Summoning the Twelve, he gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.

“The next day[fn] he took out two denarii,[fn] gave them to the innkeeper, and said, ‘Take care of him. When I come back I'll reimburse you for whatever extra you spend.'

Instantly he could see, and he began to follow him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

“He called ten of his servants, gave them ten minas,[fn] and told them, ‘Engage in business until I come back.'

And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be[fn] children of God, to those who believe in his name,

“For God loved the world in this way:[fn] He gave[fn] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

so he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar near the property[fn] that Jacob had given his son Joseph.

Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,' you would ask him, and he would give you living water.”

“You aren't greater than our father Jacob, are you? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and livestock.”

“For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son to have life in himself.

“Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, just as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.”

Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into his hands, that he had come from God, and that he was going back to God.

When he had said these things, one of the officials standing by slapped Jesus, saying, “Is this the way you answer the high priest? ”

He went back into the headquarters and asked Jesus, “Where are you from? ” But Jesus did not give him an answer.

“By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. So the faith that comes through Jesus has given him this perfect health in front of all of you.

“We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”

“He didn't give him an inheritance in it ​— ​not even a foot of ground ​— ​but he promised to give it to him as a possession, and to his descendants after him, even though he was childless.

“And so he gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision. After this, he fathered Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day. Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.

“and rescued him out of all his troubles. He gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who appointed him ruler over Egypt and over his whole household.

“God raised up this man on the third day and caused him to be seen,

“If, then, God gave them the same gift that he also gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, how could I possibly hinder God? ”

At once an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died.

“This all took about 450 years. After this, he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet.

as it is written,

God gave them a spirit of stupor,

eyes that cannot see

and ears that cannot hear,

to this day.

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given.

As it is written:

He distributed freely;

he gave to the poor;

his righteousness endures forever.

For if I boast a little too much about our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for tearing you down, I will not be put to shame.

And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him[fn] as head over everything for the church,

For it says:

When he ascended on high,

he took the captives captive;

he gave gifts to people.

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power,[fn] love, and sound judgment.

He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession, eager to do good works.

Again, I will trust in him. And again, Here I am with the children God gave me.

Now consider how great this man was: even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the plunder to him.

Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit.

Now this is his command: that we believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another as he commanded us.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

The revelation of[fn] Jesus Christ that God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

The beast I saw was like a leopard, its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.

They worshiped the dragon because he gave authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to wage war against it? ”

One of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.

“For God has put it into their hearts to carry out his plan by having one purpose and to give their kingdom[fn] to the beast until the words of God are fulfilled.

Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; each one was judged according to their works.
