So let the city ^H5892 of Sihon ^H5511 be established ^H3559.

“And the generation ^H1755 to come ^H314, your sons ^H1121 who ^H834 rise ^H6965 up ^H6965 after ^H4480 H310 you and the foreigner ^H5237 who ^H834 comes ^H935 from a distant ^H7350 land ^H776, shall see ^H7200 the plagues ^H4347 of the land ^H776 and the diseases ^H8463 with which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 has [fn]afflicted ^H2470 it, and they will say ^H559,

So that the righteous ^H6662 will see ^H7200 and fear ^H3372,

And will laugh ^H7832 at him, saying,

Let us rejoice ^H1523 and be ^H8055 glad ^H8055 in His salvation ^H3444.”

Woe ^H1945 to those who deeply ^H6009 hide ^H5641 their counsel ^H6098 from Yahweh ^H3068,

And whose deeds ^H4639 are done in a dark ^H4285 place ^H4285,

But in the time ^H6256 when their evil ^H7451 comes they will say ^H559,

‘Arise ^H6965 and save ^H3467 us.'

In that time ^H6256 it will be said ^H559 to this ^H2088 people ^H5971 and to Jerusalem ^H3389, “A [fn]scorching ^H6703 wind ^H7307 from the bare ^H8205 heights ^H8205 in the wilderness ^H4057 along the way ^H1870 of the daughter ^H1323 of My people ^H5971—not to winnow ^H2219 and not to cleanse ^H1305,

To You the nations ^H1471 will come ^H935

From the ends ^H657 of the earth ^H776 and say ^H559,

“Therefore ^H3651 behold ^H2009, the days ^H3117 are coming ^H935,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068, “when they will no ^H3808 longer ^H5750 say ^H559, ‘As Yahweh ^H3068 lives ^H2416, who ^H834 brought ^H5927 up ^H5927 the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 from the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714,'

Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635, the God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478, “Once again ^H5750 they will speak ^H559 this ^H2088 word ^H1697 in the land ^H776 of Judah ^H3063 and in its cities ^H5892 when I [fn]return ^H7725 their [fn]fortunes ^H7622,

‘Yahweh ^H3068 bless ^H1288 you, O abode ^H5116 of righteousness ^H6664,

Thorn ^H6975 and thistle ^H1863 will grow ^H5927 on their altars ^H4196;

Then they will say ^H559 to the mountains ^H2022,

“Cover ^H3680 us!” And to the hills ^H1389, “Fall ^H5307 on us!”

Let the priests ^H3548, the ministers ^H8334 of Yahweh ^H3068,

Weep ^H1058 between ^H996 the porch ^H197 and the altar ^H4196,

And let them say ^H559, “Pity ^H2347 Your people ^H5971, O Yahweh ^H3068,

And do not make ^H5414 Your inheritance ^H5159 a reproach ^H2781,

A byword ^H4912 among the nations ^H1471.

Why ^H4100 should they among the peoples ^H5971 say ^H559,

‘Where ^H346 is their God ^H430?'”

And many ^H7227 nations ^H1471 will come ^H1980 and say ^H559,

“Come ^H1980 and let us go ^H5927 up ^H5927 to the mountain ^H2022 of Yahweh ^H3068

And to the house ^H1004 of the God ^H430 of Jacob ^H3290,

That He may instruct ^H3384 us from ^H4480 His ways ^H1870

And that we may walk ^H1980 in His paths ^H734.”

For from Zion ^H6726 will go ^H3318 forth ^H3318 the law ^H8451,

And the word ^H1697 of Yahweh ^H3068 from Jerusalem ^H3389.

“Will not all ^H3605 of these ^H428 lift ^H5375 up ^H5375 a taunt-song ^H4912 against ^H5921 him,

Even satire ^H4426 and riddles ^H2420 against him

And say ^H559, ‘Woe ^H1945 to him who increases ^H7235 what is not his—
