When he entered the house, the blind men approached him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this? ”
They said to him, “Yes, Lord.”
“ ‘An enemy did this,' he told them.
“ ‘So, do you want us to go and pull them up? ' the servants asked him.
Then the disciples came up and told him, “Do you know that the Pharisees took offense when they heard what you said? ”
The disciples said to him, “Where could we get enough bread in this desolate place to feed such a crowd? ”
So the disciples asked him, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? ”
“Why then,” they asked him, “did Moses command us to give divorce papers and to send her away? ”
His disciples said to him, “If the relationship of a man with his wife is like this, it's better not to marry.”
“ ‘Because no one hired us,' they said to him.
“ ‘You also go into my vineyard,' he told them.[fn]
Jesus answered, “You don't know what you're asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? ”[fn]
“We are able,” they said to him.
and said to him, “Do you hear what these children are saying? ”
Jesus replied, “Yes, have you never read:
You have prepared[fn] praise
from the mouths of infants and nursing babies? ”
“Which of the two did his father's will? ”
They said, “The first.”
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.
“He will completely destroy those terrible men,” they told him, “and lease his vineyard to other farmers who will give him his fruit at the harvest.”
“Caesar's,” they said to him.
Then he said to them, “Give, then, to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”
“Therefore do whatever they tell you, and observe it. But don't do what they do, because they don't practice what they teach.
Pilate asked them, “What should I do then with Jesus, who is called Christ? ”
They all answered, “Crucify him! ”
Simon's mother-in-law was lying in bed with a fever, and they told him about her at once.
Now John's disciples and the Pharisees[fn] were fasting. People came and asked him, “Why do John's disciples and the Pharisees' disciples fast, but your disciples do not fast? ”
A crowd was sitting around him and told him, “Look, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters[fn] are outside asking for you.”
He was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher! Don't you care that we're going to die? ”
“You give them something to eat,” he responded.
They said to him, “Should we go and buy two hundred denarii[fn] worth of bread and give them something to eat? ”
He asked them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.”
When they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.”
“When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of leftovers did you collect? ”
“Twelve,” they told him.
“When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you collect? ”
“Seven,” they said.
Jesus went out with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the road he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am? ”
So they answered Jesus, “We don't know.”
And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
When they came, they said to him, “Teacher, we know you are truthful and don't care what anyone thinks, nor do you show partiality but teach the way of God truthfully. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn't we? ”
While Jesus was teaching in the temple, he asked, “How can the scribes say that the Messiah is the son of David?
On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrifice the Passover lamb, his disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and prepare the Passover so that you may eat it? ”
While he was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am? ”
“Where, Lord? ” they asked him.
He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there also the vultures will be gathered.”
“and when they didn't find his body, they came and reported that they had seen a vision of angels who said he was alive.
“Yet, look, he's speaking publicly and they're saying nothing to him. Can it be true that the authorities know he is the Messiah?
“Teacher,” they said to him, “this woman was caught in the act of committing adultery.
Again they asked the blind man, “What do you say about him, since he opened your eyes? ”
“He's a prophet,” he said.
“Rabbi,” the disciples told him, “just now the Jews tried to stone you, and you're going there again? ”
His disciples said, “Look, now you're speaking plainly and not using any figurative language.
They said to her, “Woman, why are you crying? ”
“Because they've taken away my Lord,” she told them, “and I don't know where they've put him.”
“I'm going fishing,” Simon Peter said to them.
“We're coming with you,” they told him. They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
For the Sadducees say there is no resurrection, and neither angel nor spirit, but the Pharisees affirm them all.
“But I admit this to you: I worship the God of my ancestors according to the Way, which they call a sect, believing everything that is in accordance with the law and written in the prophets.
Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say, “There is no resurrection of the dead”?
They want to be teachers of the law, although they don't understand what they are saying or what they are insisting on.
“I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who haven't known “the so-called secrets[fn] of Satan” — as they say — I am not putting any other burden on you.
And they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,
