ἑαυτοῦ heautoû, heh-ow-too'; from a reflexive pronoun otherwise obsolete and the genitive case (dative case or accusative case) of G846; him- (her-, it-, them-, also (in conjunction with the personal pronoun of the other persons) my-, thy-, our-, your-) self (selves), etc.:—alone, her (own, -self), (he) himself, his (own), itself, one (to) another, our (thine) own(-selves), + that she had, their (own, own selves), (of) them(-selves), they, thyself, you, your (own, own conceits, own selves, -selves).
STRONGS G1438:
ἑαυτοῦ, -ῆς, -οῦ, etc. or (contracted) αὑτοῦ, -ῆς, -οῦ (see p. 87); plural ἑαυτῶν; dative -οῖς, -αῖς, -οῖς, etc.; reflexive pronoun of the 3rd person. It is used:
1. of the 3rd person singular and plural, to denote that the agent and the person acted on are the same; as, σώζειν ἑαυτόν, Matthew 27:42; Mark 15:31; Luke 23:35; ὑψοῦν ἑαυτόν, Matthew 23:12, etc. ἑαυτῷ, ἑαυτόν are also often added to middle verbs: διεμερίσαντο ἑαυτοῖς, John 19:24 (Xenophon, mem. 1, 6, 13 ποιεῖσθαι ἑαυτῷ φίλον); cf. Winers Grammar, § 38, 6; [Buttmann, § 135, 6]. Of the phrases into which this pronoun enters we notice the following: ἀφ’ ἑαυτοῦ, see ἀπό, II. 2 d. aa.; δἰ ἑαυτοῦ, of itself, i. e. in its own nature, Romans 14:14 [Tr L text read αὐτ.]; ἐν ἑαυτῷ, see in διαλογίζεσθαι, λέγειν, εἰπεῖν. εἰς ἑαυτὸν ἔρχεσθαι to come to oneself, to a better mind, Luke 15:17 (Diodorus 13, 95). καθ’ ἑαυτόν, by oneself, alone: Acts 28:16; James 2:17. παρ’ ἑαυτῷ, by him, i. e. at his home, 1 Corinthians 16:2 (Xenophon, mem. 3, 13, 3). πρὸς ἑαυτόν, to himself i. e. to his home, Luke 24:12 [R G; T omits, WH (but with αὑτ.) reject, L Tr (but the latter with αὐτ.) brackets, the verse]; John 20:10 [T Tr αὐτ. (see αὑτοῦ)]; with [cf. our to] himself, i. e. in his own mind, προσεύχεσθαι, Luke 18:11 [Tdf. omits], (2 Macc. 11:13); in the genitive, joined with a noun, it has the force of a possessive pronoun, as τοὺς ἑαυτῶν νεκρούς: Matthew 8:22; Luke 9:60.
2. It serves as reflexive also to the 1st and 2nd person, as often in classic Greek, when no ambiguity is thereby occasioned; thus, ἐν ἑαυτοῖς equivalent to ἐν ἡμῖν αὐτοῖς, Romans 8:23; ἑαυτούς equivalent to ἡμᾶς αὐτούς, 1 Corinthians 11:31; ἀφ’ ἑαυτοῦ equivalent to ἀπὸ σεαυτοῦ [read by L Tr WH], John 18:34; ἑαυτόν equivalent to σεαυτόν [read by L T Tr WH], Romans 13:9; ἑαυτοῖς for ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς, Matthew 23:31, etc.; cf. Matthiae, § 489 II.; Winers Grammar, § 22, 5; [Buttmann, § 127, 15].
3. It is used frequently in the plural for the reciprocal pronoun ἀλλήλων, ἀλλήλοις, ἀλλήλους, reciprocally, mutually, one another: Matthew 16:7; Matthew 21:38; Mark 10:26 [Tr marginal reading WH αὐτόν]; Mark 16:3; Luke 20:5; Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 3:13, 16; 1 Peter 4:8, 10; see Matthiae § 489 III.; Kühner, ii., p. 497f; Bernhardy (1829), p. 273; [Bp. Lightfoot on Colossians 3:13].

“So G3767 do not worry G3309 about G1519 tomorrow G839; for tomorrow G839 will [fn]worry G3309 about G3309 itself G1438. [fn]Each day G2250 has enough G713 trouble G2549 of its own.

Unchecked Copy BoxMat 8:22 - But Jesus G2424 *said G3004 to him, “Follow G190 Me, and let G863 the dead G3498 bury G2290 their own G1438 dead G3498.”
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 9:3 - And some G5100 of the scribes G1122 said G3004 [fn]to themselves G1438, “This G3778 man G3778 is blaspheming G987!”

Unchecked Copy BoxMat 12:25 -

And knowing G6063 their thoughts G1761, Jesus said G3004 to them, “Every G3956 kingdom G932 divided G3307 against G2596 itself G1438 is laid G2049 waste G2049; and no G3756 G3956 city G4172 or G2228 house G3614 divided G3307 against G2596 itself G1438 will stand G2476.

Unchecked Copy BoxMat 12:26 - “And if G1487 Satan G4567 is casting G1544 out G1544 Satan G4567, he [fn]has become divided G3307 against G1909 himself G1438; how G4459 then G3767 will his kingdom G932 stand G2476?
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 12:45 - “Then G5119 it goes G4198 and brings G3880 along G3880 with it seven G2033 other G2087 spirits G4151 more G4190 wicked G4190 than itself G1438, and they come G1525 in G1525 and live G2730 there G1563; and the last G2078 condition of that person G444 becomes G1096 worse G5501 than the first G4413. That is the way G3779 it will also G2532 be with this G3778 evil G4190 generation G1074.”
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 13:21 - yet G1161 he has G2192 no G3756 firm root G4491 in himself G1438, but is only temporary G4340, and when affliction G2347 or G2228 persecution G1375 occurs G1096 because G1223 of the [fn]word G3056, immediately G2117 he [fn]falls G4624 away G4624.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 14:15 -

Now when it was evening G3798, the disciples G3101 came G4334 to Him and said G3004, “This G3588 place G5117 is secluded G2048 and the hour G5610 is already G2235 past G3928 to eat; send G630 the crowds G3793 away G630, so G2443 that G2443 they may go G565 into the villages G2968 and buy G59 food G1033 for themselves G1438.”

Unchecked Copy BoxMat 15:30 - And [fn]large G4183 crowds G3793 came G4334 to Him bringing G2192 with them those who were limping G5560, had G2948 impaired G2948 limbs G2948, were blind G5185, or were unable G2974 to G2974 speak G2974, and many G4183 others G2087, and they laid G4496 them down G4496 at His feet G4228; and He healed G2323 them.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 16:7 - They began to discuss G1260 this among G1722 themselves G1438, saying G3004, “He said that because G3754 we did not bring G2983 any bread G740.”
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 16:8 - But Jesus G2424, aware G1097 of this, said G3004, “You men G3640 of G3640 little G3640 faith G3640, why G5101 are you discussing G1260 among G1722 yourselves G1438 the fact that you have G2192 no G3756 bread G740?
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 16:24 -

Then G5119 Jesus G2424 said G3004 to His disciples G3101, “If G1487 anyone G5100 wants G2309 to come G2064 after G3694 Me, he must deny G533 himself G1438, take G142 up G142 his cross G4716, and follow G190 Me.

Unchecked Copy BoxMat 18:4 - “So G3767 whoever G3748 will humble G5013 himself G1438 like G5613 this G3778 child G3813, he is the greatest G3173 in the kingdom G932 of heaven G3772.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 18:31 - “So G3767 when his fellow G4889 slaves G4889 saw G3708 what G3588 had happened G1096, they were deeply G4970 grieved G3076 and came G2064 and reported G1285 to their master G2962 all G3956 that had happened G1096.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 19:12 - “For there are eunuchs G2135 who G3748 were born G1080 that way G3779 from their mother’s G3384 womb G2836; and there are eunuchs G2135 who G3748 were made G2134 eunuchs G2134 by people G444; and there are also eunuchs G2135 who G3748 made G2134 themselves G1438 eunuchs G2134 for the sake G1223 of the kingdom G932 of heaven G3772. The one who is able G1410 to accept G5562 this, let him accept G5562 it.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 21:8 - Most G4183 of the crowd G3793 spread G4766 their cloaks G2440 on the road G3598, and others G243 were cutting G2875 branches G2798 from the trees G1186 and spreading G4766 them on the road G3598.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 21:25 - “The baptism G908 of John G2491 was from what G4159 source: from heaven G3772 or G2228 from men G444?” And they began considering G1260 the implications among G1722 themselves G1438, saying G3004, “If G1437 we say G3004, ‘From heaven G3772,’ He will say G3004 to us, ‘Then G3767 why G1223 G5101 did you not believe G4100 him?’
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 21:38 - “But when the vine-growers G1092 saw G3708 the son G5207, they said G3004 among G1722 themselves G1438, ‘This G3778 is the heir G2818; come G1205, let’s kill G615 him and take G2192 possession G2192 of his inheritance G2817!’
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 23:12 - “Whoever G3748 exalts G5312 himself G1438 shall be humbled G5013, and whoever G3748 humbles G5013 himself G1438 shall be exalted G5312.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 23:31 - “So G5620 you testify G3140 against yourselves G1438, that you are [fn]sons G5207 of those G3588 who murdered G5407 the prophets G4396.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 25:1 -

“Then G5119 the kingdom G932 of heaven G3772 will be comparable G3666 to ten G1176 virgins G3933, who G3748 took G2983 their lamps G2985 and went G1831 out G1831 to meet G5222 the groom G3566.

Unchecked Copy BoxMat 25:3 - “For when the foolish G3474 took G2983 their lamps G2985, they did not take G2983 extra oil G1637 with them;
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 25:4 - but the prudent G5429 ones took G2983 oil G1637 in flasks G30 with their lamps G2985.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 25:7 - “Then G5119 all G3956 those G1565 virgins G3933 got G1453 up G1453 and trimmed G2885 their lamps G2985.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 25:9 - “However G1161, the prudent G5429 ones answered G611, ‘No, there most G3379 certainly G3364 would not be enough G714 for us and you too; go G4198 instead G3123 to the merchants G4453 and buy G59 some for yourselves G1438.’
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 26:11 - “For you always G3842 have G2192 the poor G4434 with you; but you do not always G3842 have G2192 Me.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 27:42 - “He saved G4982 others G243; [fn]He cannot G1410 G3756 save G4982 Himself G1438! He is the King G935 of Israel G2474; let Him now G3568 come G2597 down G2597 from the cross G4716, and we will believe G4100 in Him.
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 1:27 - And they were all G537 amazed G2284, so G5620 they debated G4802 among themselves G846, saying G3004, “What G5101 is this G3778? A new G2537 teaching G1322 with authority G1849! He commands G2004 even G2532 the unclean G169 spirits G4151, and they obey G5219 Him.”
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 2:8 - Immediately G2117 Jesus G2424, aware G1921 [fn]in His spirit G4151 that they were thinking G1260 that G3779 way G3779 within G1722 themselves G1438, *said G3004 to them, “Why G5101 are you thinking G1260 about G1260 these G3778 things G3778 in your hearts G2588?
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 3:24 - “And if G1437 a kingdom G932 is divided G3307 against G1909 itself G1438, that kingdom G932 cannot G1410 G3756 stand G2476.
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 3:25 - “If G1437 a house G3614 is divided G3307 against G1909 itself G1438, that house G3614 will not be able G1410 to stand G2476.
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 3:26 - “And if G1487 Satan G4567 has risen G450 up G450 against G1909 himself G1438 and is divided G3307, he cannot G1410 G3756 stand G2476, but [fn]he is finished G5056!
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 4:17 - and yet they have G2192 no G3756 firm root G4491 in themselves G1438, but are only temporary G4340; then G1534, when affliction G2347 or G2228 persecution G1375 occurs G1096 because G1223 of the word G3056, immediately G2117 they [fn]fall G4624 away G4624.
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 5:5 - Constantly G1223, night G3571 and day G2250, he was screaming G2896 among G1722 the tombs G3418 and in the mountains G3735, and cutting G2629 himself G1438 with stones G3037.
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 5:30 - And immediately G2117 Jesus G2424, perceiving G1921 in Himself G1438 that power G1411 from Him had gone G1831 out G1831, turned G1994 around G1994 in the crowd G3793 and said G3004, “Who G5101 touched G681 My garments G2440?”
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 6:36 - send G630 them away G630 so G2443 that G2443 they may go G565 into the surrounding G2945 countryside G68 and villages G2968 and buy G59 themselves G1438 [fn]something G5101 to eat G2068.”
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 6:51 - Then G2532 He got G305 into the boat G4143 with them, and the wind G417 stopped G2869; and they were utterly G3029 G1537 G4053 astonished G1839,
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 8:14 -

And the disciples had forgotten G1950 to take G2983 bread G740, and did not have G2192 more G1508 than G1508 one G1520 loaf G740 in the boat G4143 with them.

Unchecked Copy BoxMar 8:34 -

And He summoned G4341 the crowd G3793 together G4862 with His disciples G3101, and said G3004 to them, “If G1487 anyone G5100 wants G2309 to come G2064 after G3694 Me, he must deny G533 himself G1438, take G142 up G142 his cross G4716, and follow G190 Me.

Unchecked Copy BoxMar 9:8 - And suddenly G1819 they looked G4017 around G4017 and saw G3708 no G3762 one G3762 with them anymore G3765, except G1508 Jesus G2424 alone G3441.
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 9:10 - They [fn]seized G2902 upon [fn]that statement G3056, discussing G4802 with one G1438 another G1438 [fn]what G5101 rising G450 from the dead G3498 meant G1510.
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 9:50 - “Salt G217 is good G2570; but if G1437 the salt G217 becomes G1096 unsalty G358, with what G5101 will you [fn]make G741 it salty G741 again? Have G2192 salt G217 in yourselves G1438, and be G1514 at G1514 peace G1514 with one G240 another G240.”
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 10:26 - And they were even G4057 more G4057 astonished G1605, and said G3004 to Him, “[fn]Then G2532 who G5101 can G1410 be saved G4982?”
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 11:31 - And they began considering G1260 the implications among G4314 themselves G1438, saying G3004, “If G1437 we say G3004, ‘From heaven G3772,’ He will say G3004, ‘Then G3767 why G1223 G5101 did you not believe G4100 him?’
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 12:7 - “But those G1565 vine-growers G1092 said G3004 to one G1438 another G1438, ‘This G3778 is the heir G2818; come G1205, let’s kill G615 him, and the inheritance G2817 will be ours G1473!’
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 12:33 - and to love G25 Him with all G3650 the heart G2588, and with all G3650 the understanding G4907, and with all G3650 the strength G2479, and to love G25 one’s neighbor G4139 as oneself G1438, is much G4053 more G4053 than all G3956 the burnt G3646 offerings G3646 and sacrifices G2378.”
Unchecked Copy BoxMar 13:9 -

“But [fn]be on your guard G991; for they will hand G3860 you over G3860 to the [fn]courts G4892, and you will be flogged G1194 in the synagogues G4864, and you will stand G2476 before G1909 governors G2232 and kings G935 for My sake G6025, as a testimony G3142 to them.

Unchecked Copy BoxMar 14:4 - But there were some G5100 indignantly G23 remarking to one G1438 another G1438, “Why G1519 G5101 has this G3778 perfume G3464 been G1096 wasted G684?
