Solomon Builds His Own House

2 And he built ^H1129 the house ^H1004 of the forest ^H3293 of Lebanon ^H3844; its length ^H753 was [fn]100 ^H3967 cubits ^H520 and its width ^H7341 50 ^H2572 cubits ^H520 and its height ^H6967 30 ^H7970 cubits ^H520, on four ^H702 rows ^H2905 of cedar ^H730 pillars ^H5982 with cedar ^H730 beams ^H3773 on the pillars ^H5982. 3 And it was paneled ^H5603 with cedar ^H730 above ^H4605 H5921 the side ^H6763 chambers ^H6763 which ^H834 were on the 45 ^H705 H2568 pillars ^H5982, 15 ^H2568 H6240 in each row ^H2905. 4 Now there were artistic window frames ^H8261 in three ^H7969 rows ^H2905, and window ^H4237 was opposite ^H413 window ^H4237 in three ^H7969 ranks ^H6471. 5 And all ^H3605 the doorways ^H6607 and doorposts ^H4201 had squared ^H7251 artistic frames ^H8260, and window ^H4237 was opposite ^H4136 H413 window ^H4237 in three ^H7969 ranks ^H6471.

6 Then he made ^H6213 the hall ^H197 of pillars ^H5982; its length ^H753 was 50 ^H2572 cubits ^H520 and its width ^H7341 30 ^H7970 cubits ^H520, and a porch ^H197 was in front ^H6440 of them and pillars ^H5982 and a threshold ^H5646 in front ^H6440 of them.

7 And he made ^H6213 the hall ^H197 of the throne ^H3678 where ^H834 H8033 he was to judge ^H8199, the hall ^H197 of judgment ^H4941, and it was paneled ^H5603 with cedar ^H730 from floor ^H7172 to floor ^H7172.

8 Now his house ^H1004 where ^H834 H8033 he was to live ^H3427, the other ^H312 court ^H2691 inward ^H4480 H1004 from the hall ^H197, was of the same ^H2088 workmanship ^H4639. He also made ^H6213 a house ^H1004 like this ^H2088 hall ^H197 for Pharaoh’s ^H6547 daughter ^H1323, whom ^H834 Solomon ^H8010 had married ^H3947.

9 All ^H3605 these ^H428 were of precious ^H3368 stones ^H68, of stone ^H1496 cut ^H1496 according to measure ^H4060, sawed ^H1641 with saws ^H4050, inside ^H4480 H1004 and outside ^H4480 H2351; even from the foundation ^H4527 to the coping ^H2947, and so on the outside ^H2351 to the great ^H1419 court ^H2691.

10 And the foundation ^H3245 was of precious ^H3368 stones ^H68, even large ^H1419 stones ^H68, stones ^H68 of ten ^H6235 cubits ^H520 and stones ^H68 of eight ^H8083 cubits ^H520. 11 And above ^H4480 H4605 were precious ^H3368 stones ^H68, stone ^H1496 cut ^H1496 according to measure ^H4060, and cedar ^H730. 12 So the great ^H1419 court ^H2691 all ^H5439 around ^H5439 had three ^H7969 rows ^H2905 of cut ^H1496 stone ^H1496 and a row ^H2905 of cedar ^H730 beams ^H3773 even as the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691 of the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068, and the porch ^H197 of the house ^H1004.

Hiram’s Work in the House of Yahweh

13 Then King ^H4428 Solomon ^H8010 sent ^H7971 and brought ^H3947 Hiram ^H2438 from Tyre ^H6865.

14 He was a widow’s ^H490 son ^H1121 from the tribe ^H4294 of Naphtali ^H5321, and his father ^H1 was a man ^H376 of Tyre ^H6876, a worker ^H2790 in bronze ^H5178; and he was filled ^H4390 with wisdom ^H2451 and discernment ^H8394 and knowledge ^H1847 to do ^H6213 any ^H3605 work ^H4399 in bronze ^H5178. So he came ^H935 to King ^H4428 Solomon ^H8010 and did ^H6213 all ^H3605 his work ^H4399.

15 And he fashioned ^H6696 the two ^H8147 pillars ^H5982 of bronze ^H5178; eighteen ^H8083 H6240 cubits ^H520 was the height ^H6967 of one ^H259 pillar ^H5982, and a line ^H2339 of twelve ^H8147 H6240 cubits ^H520 [fn]measured ^H5437 the ^H5437 circumference ^H5437 of both ^H8147. 16 He also made ^H6213 two ^H8147 capitals ^H3805 of molten ^H3332 bronze ^H5178 to set ^H5414 on the tops ^H7218 of the pillars ^H5982; the height ^H6967 of the one ^H259 capital ^H3805 was five ^H2568 [fn]cubits ^H520 and the height ^H6967 of the other ^H8145 capital ^H3805 was five ^H2568 cubits ^H520. 17 There were nets ^H7639 of network ^H7639 and twisted ^H1434 threads ^H1434 of chainwork ^H4639 H8333 for the capitals ^H3805 which ^H834 were on the top ^H7218 of the pillars ^H5982; seven ^H7651 for the one ^H259 capital ^H3805 and seven ^H7651 for the other ^H8145 capital ^H3805. 18 So he made ^H6213 the pillars ^H5982, and two ^H8147 rows ^H2905 around ^H5439 on the one ^H259 network ^H7639 to cover ^H3680 the capitals ^H3805 which ^H834 were on the top ^H7218 of the pomegranates ^H7416; and so ^H3651 he did ^H6213 for the other ^H8145 capital ^H3805. 19 Now the capitals ^H3805 which ^H834 were on the top ^H7218 of the pillars ^H5982 in the porch ^H197 were of lily ^H7799 design ^H4639, four ^H702 cubits ^H520. 20 And there were capitals ^H3805 on the two ^H8147 pillars ^H5982, even ^H1571 right ^H4480 H5980 above ^H4480 H4605 the [fn]rounded ^H990 projection ^H990 which ^H834 was on the one ^H5676 side ^H5676 of the network ^H7639; and the pomegranates ^H7416 numbered two hundred ^H3967 in rows ^H2905 around ^H5439 [fn]both ^H8145 capitals ^H3805. 21 Thus he set ^H6965 up ^H6965 the pillars ^H5982 at the porch ^H197 of the nave ^H1964; and he set ^H6965 up ^H6965 the right ^H3233 pillar ^H5982 and named ^H7121 H8034 it [fn]Jachin ^H3199, and he set ^H6965 up ^H6965 the left ^H8042 pillar ^H5982 and named ^H7121 H8034 it [fn]Boaz ^H1162. 22 And on the top ^H7218 of the pillars ^H5982 was lily ^H7799 design ^H4639. So the work ^H4399 of the pillars ^H5982 was finished ^H8552.

23 And he made ^H6213 the sea ^H3220 of cast ^H3332 metal ten ^H6235 cubits ^H520 from brim ^H8193 to brim ^H8193, circular ^H5696 in form ^H5439, and its height ^H6967 was five ^H2568 cubits ^H520, and [fn]thirty ^H7970 cubits ^H520 in its circumference ^{H6961 H5437 H5439}. 24 Now under ^H8478 its brim ^H8193 gourds ^H6497 went around ^H5439 encircling ^H5437 it ten ^H6235 to a cubit ^H520, entirely ^H5439 encircling ^H5362 the sea ^H3220; the gourds ^H6497 were in two ^H8147 rows ^H2905, cast ^H3332 with the Sea when it was cast ^H3333. 25 It stood ^H5975 on twelve ^H8147 H6240 oxen ^H1241, three ^H7969 facing ^H6437 north ^H6828, three ^H7969 facing ^H6437 west ^H3220, three ^H7969 facing ^H6437 south ^H5045, and three ^H7969 facing ^H6437 east ^H4217; and the sea ^H3220 was set on top ^H4605 of them, and all ^H3605 their rear ^H268 parts ^H268 turned inward ^H1004. 26 And it was a [fn]handbreadth ^H2947 thick ^H5672, and its brim ^H8193 was made ^H4639 like the brim ^H8193 of a cup ^H3563, as a lily ^H7799 blossom ^H6525; it could hold ^H3557 [fn]two thousand ^H505 baths ^H1324.

27 Then he made ^H6213 the ten ^H6235 stands ^H4350 of bronze ^H5178; the length ^H753 of each ^H259 stand ^H4350 was four ^H702 cubits ^H520 and its width ^H7341 four ^H702 cubits ^H520 and its height ^H6967 three ^H7969 cubits ^H520. 28 Now this ^H2088 was the workmanship ^H4639 of the stands ^H4350: they had borders ^H4526, even borders ^H4526 between ^H996 the [fn]frames ^H7948, 29 and on the borders ^H4526 which ^H834 were between ^H996 the [fn]frames ^H7948 were lions ^H738, oxen ^H1241, and cherubim ^H3742; and on the [fn]frames ^H7948 there was a pedestal ^H3653 above ^H4480 H4605, and beneath ^H4480 H8478 the lions ^H738 and oxen ^H1241 were wreaths ^H3914 of hanging ^H4174 work ^H4639. 30 Now each ^H259 stand ^H4350 had four ^H702 bronze ^H5178 wheels ^H212 with bronze ^H5178 axles ^H5633, and its four ^H702 feet ^H6471 had supports ^H3802; beneath ^H4480 H8478 the laver ^H3595 were cast ^H3332 supports ^H3802 with wreaths ^H3914 at each ^H376 side ^H5676. 31 And its opening ^H6310 inside ^H4480 H1004 the capital ^H3805 at the top ^H4605 was a cubit ^H520, and its opening ^H6310 was round ^H5696 like the workmanship ^H4639 of a pedestal ^H3653, a cubit ^H520 and a half ^H2677; and also ^H1571 on its opening ^H6310 there were engravings ^H4734, and their borders ^H4526 were square ^H7251, not round ^H5696. 32 And the four ^H702 wheels ^H212 were underneath ^H8478 the borders ^H4526, and the axles ^H3027 of the wheels ^H212 were on the stand ^H4350. And the height ^H6967 of a wheel ^H212 was a cubit ^H520 and a half ^H2677. 33 Now the workmanship ^H4639 of the wheels ^H212 was like the workmanship ^H4639 of a chariot ^H4818 wheel ^H212. Their axles ^H3027, their rims ^H1354, their spokes ^H2839, and their hubs ^H2840 were all ^H3605 cast ^H3332. 34 Now there were four ^H702 supports ^H3802 at the four ^H702 corners ^H6438 of each ^H259 stand ^H4350; its supports ^H3802 were part of the stand ^H4350 itself. 35 And on the top ^H7218 of the stand ^H4350 there was a circular ^H5696 form ^H5439 half ^H2677 a [fn]cubit ^H520 high ^H6967, and on the top ^H7218 of the stand ^H4350 its [fn]stays ^H3027 and its borders ^H4526 were part ^H4480 of it. 36 And he engraved ^H6605 on the plates ^H3871 of its stays ^H3027 and on its borders ^H4526, cherubim ^H3742, lions ^H738, and palm ^H8561 trees ^H8561, according to the clear ^H4626 space ^H4626 on each ^H376, with wreaths ^H3914 all around ^H5439. 37 He made ^H6213 the ten ^H6235 stands ^H4350 like this ^H2088: all ^H3605 of them had one ^H259 casting ^H4165, one ^H259 measure ^H4060 and one ^H259 form ^H7095.

38 He also made ^H6213 ten ^H6235 lavers ^H3595 of bronze ^H5178, one ^H259 laver ^H3595 held ^H3557 forty ^H705 baths ^H1324; each ^H259 laver ^H3595 was four ^H702 cubits ^H520, and on each ^H259 of the ten ^H6235 stands ^H4350 was one ^H259 laver ^H3595. 39 Then he set ^H5414 the stands ^H4350, five ^H2568 on the right ^H3225 side ^H3802 of the house ^H1004 and five ^H2568 on the left ^H8040 side ^H3802 of the house ^H1004; and he set ^H5414 the sea ^H3220 of cast metal on the right ^H3233 side ^H3802 of the house ^H1004 eastward ^H6924 toward ^H4480 H4136 the south ^H5045.

40 And Hiram ^H2438 made ^H6213 the lavers ^H3595 and the shovels ^H3257 and the bowls ^H4219. So Hiram ^H2438 completed ^H3615 doing ^H6213 all ^H3605 the work ^H4399 that ^H834 he did ^H6213 for King ^H4428 Solomon ^H8010 in the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068: 41 the two ^H8147 pillars ^H5982 and the two bowls ^H1543 of the capitals ^H3805 which ^H834 were on the top ^H7218 of the two ^H8147 pillars ^H5982, and the two ^H8147 networks ^H7639 to cover ^H3680 the two ^H8147 bowls ^H1543 of the capitals ^H3805 which ^H834 were on the top ^H7218 of the pillars ^H5982, 42 and the four ^H702 hundred ^H3967 pomegranates ^H7416 for the two ^H8147 networks ^H7639, two ^H8147 rows ^H2905 of pomegranates ^H7416 for each ^H259 network ^H7639 to cover ^H3680 the two ^H8147 bowls ^H1543 of the capitals ^H3805 which ^H834 were on the tops ^H6440 of the pillars ^H5982; 43 and the ten ^H6235 stands ^H4350 with the ten ^H6235 lavers ^H3595 on the stands ^H4350; 44 and the one ^H259 sea ^H3220 and the twelve ^H8147 H6240 oxen ^H1241 under ^H8478 the sea ^H3220; 45 and the pots ^H5518 and the shovels ^H3257 and the bowls ^H4219; and all ^H3605 these ^H428 utensils ^H3627 which ^H834 Hiram ^H2438 made ^H6213 for King ^H4428 Solomon ^H8010 in the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068 were of polished ^H4803 bronze ^H5178. 46 On the plain ^H3603 of the Jordan ^H3383 the king ^H4428 cast ^H3332 them, in the clay ^H4568 ground ^H127 between ^H996 Succoth ^H5523 and Zarethan ^H6891. 47 And Solomon ^H8010 left ^H5117 all ^H3605 the utensils ^H3627 unweighed, because ^H4480 they were too ^H3966 many ^H7230; the weight ^H4948 of the bronze ^H5178 could not be found ^H2713 out ^H2713.

48 Solomon ^H8010 also made ^H6213 all ^H3605 the furniture ^H3627 which ^H834 was in the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068: the golden ^H2091 altar ^H4196 and the golden ^H2091 table ^H7979 on which ^H834 was the bread ^H3899 of the Presence ^H6440; 49 and the lampstands ^H4501, five ^H2568 on the right ^H3225 side ^H3225 and five ^H2568 on the left ^H8040, in front ^H6440 of the inner ^H1687 sanctuary ^H1687, of pure ^H5458 gold ^H2091; and the flowers ^H6525 and the lamps ^H5216 and the tongs ^H4457, of gold ^H2091; 50 and the cups ^H5592 and the snuffers ^H4212 and the bowls ^H4219 and the spoons ^H3709 and the firepans ^H4289, of pure ^H5458 gold ^H2091; and the hinges ^H6596 both for the doors ^H1817 of the inner ^H6442 house ^H1004, the Holy ^H6944 of Holies ^H6944, and for the doors ^H1817 of the house ^H1004, that is, of the nave ^H1964, of gold ^H2091.

51 Thus all ^H3605 the work ^H4399 that King ^H4428 Solomon ^H8010 did ^H6213 in the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068 was finished ^H7999. And Solomon ^H8010 brought ^H935 in ^H935 the things ^H6944 set ^H6944 apart ^H6944 as ^H6944 holy ^H6944 by his father ^H1 David ^H1732, the silver ^H3701 and the gold ^H2091 and the utensils ^H3627, and he put ^H5414 them in the treasuries ^H214 of the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068.
