1 “You shall not bear ^H5375 a false ^H7723 report ^H8088; do not join ^H7896 your hand ^H3027 with a wicked ^H7563 man ^H7563 to be a malicious ^H2555 witness ^H5707. 2 You shall not follow ^H1961 H310 [fn]the masses ^H7227 in doing evil ^H7451, nor ^H3808 shall you [fn]testify ^H6030 in a case ^H7379 so as to turn ^H5186 aside ^H5186 after ^H310 [fn]the masses ^H7227 in order to [fn]cause ^H5186 justice to be turned ^H5186 aside ^H5186; 3 nor ^H3808 shall you [fn]be partial ^H1921 to a poor ^H1800 man ^H1800 in his case ^H7379.

4 “If ^H3588 you meet ^H6293 your enemy’s ^H340 ox ^H7794 or ^H176 his donkey ^H2543 wandering ^H8582 away ^H8582, you shall surely ^H7725 return ^H7725 it to him. 5 If ^H3588 you see ^H7200 the donkey ^H2543 of one who hates ^H8130 you lying ^H7257 helpless under ^H8478 its load ^H4853, you shall refrain ^H2308 from leaving ^H5800 it to him, you shall surely ^H5800 release ^H5800 it with him.

6 “You shall not cause ^H5186 the justice ^H4941 due to your needy ^H34 brother to be turned ^H5186 aside ^H5186 in his case ^H7379. 7 Keep ^H7368 far ^H7368 from a [fn]false ^H8267 charge ^H1697, and do not kill ^H2026 the innocent ^H5355 or the righteous ^H6662, for I will not justify ^H6663 the guilty ^H7563.

8 “And you shall not take ^H3947 a bribe ^H7810, for a bribe ^H7810 blinds ^H5786 the clear-sighted ^H6493 and [fn]subverts ^H5557 the cause ^H1697 of the [fn]just ^H6662.

9 “And you shall not oppress ^H3905 a sojourner ^H1616, since you yourselves ^H859 know ^H3045 the soul ^H5315 of a sojourner ^H1616, for you also were sojourners ^H1616 in the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714.

Judgments About Work and Rest

10 “Now you shall sow ^H2232 your land ^H776 for six ^H8337 years ^H8141 and gather ^H622 in ^H622 its produce ^H8393,

11 but on the seventh ^H7637 year ^H7637 you shall let ^H8058 it [fn]rest ^H8058 and lie ^H5203 fallow ^H5203, so that the needy ^H34 of your people ^H5971 may eat ^H398; and whatever they leave ^H3499 the beast ^H2416 of the field ^H7704 may eat ^H398. 12 “Six ^H8337 days ^H3117 you are to do ^H6213 your work ^H4639, but on the seventh ^H7637 day ^H3117 you shall [fn]rest ^H7673 so ^H4616 that your ox ^H7794 and your donkey ^H2543 may [fn]rest ^H5117, and the son ^H1121 of your maidservant ^H519, as well as your sojourner ^H1616, may refresh ^H5314 themselves. 13 Now concerning everything ^H3605 which ^H834 I have said ^H559 to you, beware ^H8104; and do not mention ^H2142 the name ^H8034 of other ^H312 gods ^H430, nor ^H3808 let them be heard ^H8085 [fn]from your mouth ^H6310.

Judgments About National Feasts

14 “Three ^H7969 times ^H7272 a year ^H8141 you shall celebrate ^H2287 a ^H2287 feast ^H2287 to Me.

18 “You shall not offer ^H2076 the blood ^H1818 of My sacrifice ^H2077 with leavened ^H2557 bread ^H2557; nor ^H3808 is the fat ^H2459 of My [fn]feast ^H2282 to remain ^H3885 overnight ^H3885 until ^H5704 morning ^H1242.

19 “You shall bring ^H935 the choice ^H7225 first ^H1061 fruits ^H1061 of your ground ^H127 into the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430.

“You shall not boil ^H1310 a young ^H1423 goat ^H1423 in the milk ^H2461 of its mother ^H517.

Yahweh Will Drive Out Israel’s Enemies

20 “Behold ^H2009, I am going to send ^H7971 an angel ^H4397 before ^H6440 you to keep ^H8104 you along the way ^H1870 and to bring ^H935 you into the place ^H4725 which ^H834 I have prepared ^H3559.
