The Vision of Four Living Creatures

1 Now it happened ^H1961 in the thirtieth ^H7970 year ^H8141, on the fifth ^H2568 day of the fourth ^H7243 month ^H2320, while I was by the river ^H5104 Chebar ^H3529 among ^H8432 the exiles ^H1473, that the heavens ^H8064 were opened ^H6605, and I saw ^H7200 [fn]visions ^H4759 of God ^H430.

2 (On the fifth ^H2568 of the month ^H2320 [fn]in the fifth ^H2549 year ^H8141 of King ^H4428 Jehoiachin’s ^H3078 exile ^H1546, 3 the word ^H1697 of [fn]Yahweh ^H3068 came ^H1961 expressly ^H1961 to Ezekiel ^H3168 the priest ^H3548, son ^H1121 of Buzi ^H941, in the land ^H776 of the Chaldeans ^H3778 by the river ^H5104 Chebar ^H3529; and there ^H8033 the hand ^H3027 of Yahweh ^H3068 came ^H1961 upon him.)

The Vision of the Glory of Yahweh

22 Now over ^H5921 the heads ^H7218 of the living ^H2416 [fn]creatures ^H2416 there was something with the likeness ^H1823 of an expanse ^H7549, like the awesome ^H3372 gleam ^H5869 of [fn]crystal ^H7140, spread ^H5186 out ^H5186 over ^H5921 H4605 their heads ^H7218 above.

23 And underneath ^H8478 the expanse ^H7549 their wings ^H3671 were stretched out straight ^H3477, one ^H802 toward ^H413 the other ^H269; each ^H376 one ^H376 also had two ^H8147 wings covering ^H3680 its body ^H1472 on the one ^H376 side ^H2008 and on the other ^H2008. 24 I also heard ^H8085 the sound ^H6963 of their wings ^H3671 like the sound ^H6963 of many ^H7227 waters ^H4325 as they went ^H1980, like the [fn]sound ^H6963 of [fn]the Almighty ^H7706, a sound ^H6963 of tumult ^H1999 like the sound ^H6963 of an army ^H4264 camp ^H4264; whenever they stood ^H5975 still ^H5975, they dropped ^H7503 their wings ^H3671. 25 And there came ^H1961 a sound ^H6963 from above ^H5921 the expanse ^H7549 that was over ^H5921 their heads ^H7218; whenever they stood ^H5975 still ^H5975, they dropped ^H7503 their wings ^H3671.

26 Now above ^H4480 H4605 the expanse ^H7549 that was over ^H5921 their heads ^H7218 there was something ^H1823 in the likeness ^H1823 of a throne ^H3678, like sapphire ^H5601 stone ^H68 in appearance ^H4758; and upon the likeness ^H1823 of the throne ^H3678, high ^H4480 H4605 up, was the likeness ^H1823 of one with the appearance ^H4758 of a man ^H120. 27 Then I saw ^H7200 from the appearance ^H4758 of His loins ^H4975 and upward ^H4605 something ^H4758 like the gleam ^H5869 of [fn]glowing ^H2830 metal ^H2830 with the appearance ^H4758 of fire ^H784 all ^H5439 around ^H5439 within ^H1004 it, and from the appearance ^H4758 of His loins ^H4975 and downward ^H4295 I saw ^H7200 something ^H4758 with the appearance ^H4758 of fire ^H784; and there was a radiance ^H5051 all around ^H5439 Him. 28 As the appearance ^H4758 of the rainbow ^H7198 [fn]in the clouds ^H6051 on a rainy ^H1653 day ^H3117, so ^H3651 was the appearance ^H4758 of the radiance ^H5051 all around ^H5439. Such ^H1931 was the appearance ^H4758 of the likeness ^H1823 of the glory ^H3519 of Yahweh ^H3068. And I saw ^H7200 this, and I fell ^H5307 on my face ^H6440 and heard ^H8085 a sound ^H6963 of a voice speaking ^H1696.
