Prophesy Against Tyre

1 Now it happened in the eleventh ^H6249 H6240 year ^H8141, on the first ^H259 of the month ^H2320, that the word ^H1697 of Yahweh ^H3068 came ^H1961 to me saying ^H559,

2 “Son ^H1121 of man ^H120, because ^H3282 H834 Tyre ^H6865 has said ^H559 concerning ^H5921 Jerusalem ^H3389, ‘Aha ^H1889, the gateway ^H1817 of the peoples ^H5971 is broken ^H7665; it has [fn]opened ^H5437 to me. I shall be filled ^H4390, now that she is laid ^H2717 waste ^H2717,’ 3 therefore ^H3651 thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068, ‘Behold ^H2009, I am against ^H5921 you, O Tyre ^H6865, and I will bring ^H5927 up ^H5927 many ^H7227 nations ^H1471 against ^H5921 you, as the sea ^H3220 brings ^H5927 up ^H5927 its waves ^H1530. 4 They will make the walls ^H2346 of Tyre ^H6865 a ruin ^H7843 and pull ^H2040 down ^H2040 her towers ^H4026; and I will scrape ^H5500 her dust ^H6083 from her and make ^H5414 her a bare ^H6706 rock ^H5553. 5 She will be a place ^H4894 for the spreading ^H4894 of nets ^H2764 in the midst ^H8432 of the sea ^H3220, for I have spoken ^H1696,’ declares ^H5002 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068, ‘and she will become ^H1961 plunder ^H957 for the nations ^H1471. 6 Also her daughters ^H1323 who ^H834 are [fn]on the mainland ^H7704 will be killed ^H2026 by the sword ^H2719, and they will know ^H3045 that I am Yahweh ^H3068.’”

15 Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068 to Tyre ^H6865, “Shall not the coastlands ^H339 shake ^H7493 at the sound ^H6963 of your downfall ^H4658 when the wounded ^H2491 groan ^H602, when the killing ^H2027 occurs ^H2026 in your midst ^H8432? 16 Then all ^H3605 the princes ^H5387 of the sea ^H3220 will go ^H3381 down ^H3381 from their thrones ^H3678, remove ^H5493 their robes ^H4598, and strip ^H6584 off ^H6584 their embroidered ^H7553 garments ^H899. She and her inhabitants ^H3427,

On all ^H3605 her inhabitants ^H3427!

18 ‘Now ^H6258 the coastlands ^H339 will tremble ^H2729

On the day ^H3117 of your downfall ^H4658;

Yes, the coastlands ^H339 which ^H834 are by the sea ^H3220

Will be dismayed ^H926 at your departure ^H3318.’”

19 For thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068, “When I make ^H5414 you a city ^H5892 laid ^H2717 waste ^H2717, like the cities ^H5892 which ^H834 are not inhabited ^H3427, when I bring ^H5927 up ^H5927 the deep ^H8415 over ^H5921 you and the great ^H7227 waters ^H4325 cover ^H3680 you, 20 then I will bring ^H3381 you down ^H3381 with those who go ^H3381 down ^H3381 to the pit ^H953, to the people ^H5971 of old ^H5769, and I will make you inhabit ^H3427 the lower ^H8482 parts ^H8482 of the earth ^H776, like the ancient ^H5769 waste ^H2723 places ^H2723, with those who go ^H3381 down ^H3381 to the pit ^H953, so ^H4616 that you will not [fn]be inhabited ^H3427; but I will set ^H5414 glory ^H6643 in the land ^H776 of the living ^H2416. 21 I will [fn]bring ^H5414 terrors ^H1091 on you, and you will be no ^H369 more ^H369; though you will be sought ^H1245, you will never ^H3808 H5769 be found ^H4672 again ^H5750,” declares ^H5002 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068.
