The River of Yahweh’s House

1 Then he brought ^H7725 me back ^H7725 to the door ^H6607 of the house ^H1004; and behold ^H2009, water ^H4325 was flowing ^H3318 from under ^H8478 the threshold ^H4670 of the house ^H1004 toward the east ^H6921, for the house ^H1004 faced ^H6440 east ^H6921. And the water ^H4325 was flowing ^H3381 down ^H3381 from under ^H8478, from the right ^H3233 side ^H3802 of the house ^H1004, from south ^H5045 of the altar ^H4196.

2 He brought ^H3318 me out ^H3318 by way ^H1870 of the north ^H6828 gate ^H8179 and led ^H5437 me around ^H5437 by way ^H1870 of the outside ^H2351 to the outer ^H2351 gate ^H8179 by way ^H1870 of the gate that faces ^H6437 east ^H6921. And behold ^H2009, water ^H4325 was trickling ^H6379 from the south ^H3233 side ^H3802.

Their fish ^H1710 will be according to their kinds ^H4327, like the fish ^H1710 of the Great ^H1419 Sea ^H3220, very ^H3966 many ^H7227. 11 But its marshes ^H1360 and swamps ^H1207 will not be ^H7495 [fn]healed ^H7495; they will be [fn]left ^H5414 for salt ^H4417. 12 And by the river ^H5158 on its bank ^H8193, on one ^H2088 side ^H2088 and on the other ^H2088, will grow ^H5927 all ^H3605 kinds of trees ^H6086 for food ^H3978. Their leaves ^H5929 will not wither ^H5034, and their fruit ^H6529 will not [fn]fail ^H8552. They will bear ^H1069 every month ^H2320 because ^H3588 their water ^H4325 flows ^H3318 out ^H3318 from the sanctuary ^H4720, and their fruit ^H6529 will be for food ^H3978 and their leaves ^H5929 for healing ^H8644.”

Apportionment of the Land

13 Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068, “This ^H2088 shall be the boundary ^H1366 by which ^H834 you shall apportion ^H5157 the land ^H776 for ^H5157 an ^H5157 inheritance ^H5157 among the twelve ^H8147 H6240 tribes ^H7626 of Israel ^H3478; Joseph ^H3130 shall have two ^H8147 portions ^H2256.

14 You shall then apportion ^H5157 it for ^H5157 an ^H5157 inheritance ^H5157, each ^H376 one ^H376 [fn]equally with the other ^H251; for I [fn]swore ^H5375 H3027 to give ^H5414 it to your fathers ^H1, and this ^H2088 land ^H776 shall fall ^H5307 to you [fn]as an inheritance ^H5159.

15 “This ^H2088 shall be the boundary ^H1366 of the land ^H776: on the north ^H6828 side ^H6285, from the Great ^H1419 Sea ^H3220 by the way ^H1870 of Hethlon ^H2855, to the entrance ^H935 of [fn]Zedad ^H6657; 16 [fn]Hamath ^H2574, Berothah ^H1268, Sibraim ^H5453, which ^H834 is between ^H996 the border ^H1366 of Damascus ^H1834 and the border ^H1366 of Hamath ^H2574; Hazer-hatticon ^H2694, which ^H834 is by the border ^H1366 of Hauran ^H2362. 17 And the boundary ^H1366 shall be ^H1961 from the sea ^H3220 to Hazar-enan ^H2703 at the border ^H1366 of Damascus ^H1834, and on the north ^H6828 toward the north ^H6828 is the border ^H1366 of Hamath ^H2574. This is the north ^H6828 side ^H6285.

18 “And the east ^H6921 side ^H6285, from between ^H996 Hauran ^H2362, Damascus ^H1834, Gilead ^H1568, and the land ^H776 of Israel ^H3478, shall be the Jordan ^H3383; from the north border ^H1366 to the eastern ^H6931 sea ^H3220 you shall measure ^H4058. This is the east ^H6921 side ^H6285.

19 “And the south ^H5045 side ^H6285 toward the south ^H8486 shall extend from Tamar ^H8559 as far ^H5704 as the waters ^H4325 of Meribath-kadesh ^H4809 H6946, to the brook ^H5158 of Egypt and to the Great ^H1419 Sea ^H3220. This is the south ^H8486 side ^H6285 toward the south ^H5045.

20 “And the west ^H3220 side ^H6285 shall be the Great ^H1419 Sea ^H3220, from the south border ^H1366 to a point opposite ^H5227 [fn]Lebo-hamath ^H935. This ^H2088 is the west ^H3220 side ^H6285.

21 “So you shall divide ^H2505 this ^H2088 land ^H776 among yourselves according to the tribes ^H7626 of Israel ^H3478. 22 And it will be that you shall divide ^H5307 it by ^H5307 lot ^H5307 for an inheritance ^H5159 among yourselves and among the sojourners ^H1616 who sojourn ^H1481 in your midst ^H8432, who ^H834 bring ^H3205 forth ^H3205 sons ^H1121 in your midst ^H8432. And they shall be to you as the native-born ^H249 among the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478. They shall be allotted ^H5307 an inheritance ^H5159 with you among ^H8432 the tribes ^H7626 of Israel ^H3478. 23 And it will be that in the tribe ^H7626 with which ^H834 the sojourner ^H1616 sojourns ^H1481, there ^H8033 you shall give ^H5414 him his inheritance ^H5159,” declares ^H5002 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068.
