1 “Now these ^H428 are the names ^H8034 of the tribes ^H7626: from the northern ^H6828 extremity ^H7097, [fn]beside ^H413 H3027 the way ^H1870 of Hethlon ^H2855 to [fn]Lebo-hamath ^H935, as far as Hazar-enan ^H2704 at the border ^H1366 of Damascus ^H1834, toward the north ^H6828 [fn]beside ^H413 H3027 Hamath ^H2574, [fn]running ^H1961 from east ^H6921 to west ^H3220, Dan ^H1835, one ^H259 portion. 2 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Dan ^H1835, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Asher ^H836, one ^H259 portion. 3 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Asher ^H836, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Naphtali ^H5321, one ^H259 portion. 4 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Naphtali ^H5321, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Manasseh ^H4519, one ^H259 portion. 5 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Manasseh ^H4519, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Ephraim ^H669, one ^H259 portion. 6 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Ephraim ^H669, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Reuben ^H7205, one ^H259 portion. 7 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Reuben ^H7205, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Judah ^H3063, one ^H259 portion.

8 “And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Judah ^H3063, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, shall be the contribution ^H8641 which ^H834 you shall contribute ^H7311, 25,000 ^{H6242 H2568 H505} [fn]cubits in width ^H7341, and in length ^H753 like one ^H259 of the portions ^H2506, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285; and the sanctuary ^H4720 shall be in the middle ^H8432 of it. 9 The contribution ^H8641 that you shall contribute ^H7311 to Yahweh ^H3068 shall be [fn]25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} cubits in length ^H753 and 10,000 ^H6235 H505 in width ^H7341. 10 And the holy ^H6944 contribution ^H8641 shall be for these ^H428, namely for the priests ^H3548, toward the north ^H6828 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} cubits in length, toward the west ^H3220 10,000 ^H6235 H505 in width ^H7341, toward the east ^H6921 10,000 ^H6235 H505 in width ^H7341, and toward the south ^H5045 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} in length ^H753; and the sanctuary ^H4720 of Yahweh ^H3068 shall be in its midst ^H8432. 11 It shall be for the priests ^H3548 who are sanctified ^H6942 of the sons ^H1121 of Zadok ^H6659, who ^H834 have kept ^H8104 the responsibility ^H4931 given by Me, who ^H834 did not go ^H8582 astray ^H8582 when the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 went ^H8582 astray ^H8582 as the Levites ^H3881 went ^H8582 astray ^H8582. 12 And it shall be a contribution ^H8642 to them from the contribution ^H8641 of the land ^H776, a Holy ^H6944 of Holies ^H6944, by the border ^H1366 of the Levites ^H3881. 13 Now alongside ^H5980 the border ^H1366 of the priests ^H3548, the Levites ^H3881 shall have 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} cubits in length ^H753 and 10,000 ^H6235 H505 in width ^H7341. The whole ^H3605 length ^H753 shall be 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} cubits and the width ^H7341 10,000 ^H6235 H505. 14 Moreover, they shall not sell ^H4376 or exchange ^H4171 any ^H4480 of it, or let this [fn]choice ^H7225 portion of land ^H776 pass ^H5674 over ^H5674 to another; for it is holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068.

15 “And the remainder ^H3498, [fn]5,000 ^H2568 H505 cubits in width ^H7341 and 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} [fn]in length ^H5921 H6440, shall be for common ^H2455 use ^H2455 for the city ^H5892, for places of habitation ^H4186, and for [fn]open ^H4054 spaces ^H4054; and the city ^H5892 shall be in its midst ^H8432. 16 And these ^H428 shall be its measurements ^H4060: the north ^H6828 side ^H6285 [fn]4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits, the south ^H5045 side ^H6285 4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits, the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits, and the west ^H3220 side ^H6285 4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits. 17 And the city ^H5892 shall have ^H1961 [fn]open ^H4054 spaces ^H4054: on the north ^H6828 [fn]250 ^H2572 H3967 cubits, on the south ^H5045 250 ^H2572 H3967 cubits, on the east ^H6921 250 ^H2572 H3967 cubits, and on the west ^H3220 250 ^H2572 H3967 cubits. 18 And the remainder ^H3498 of the length ^H753 alongside ^H5980 the holy ^H6944 contribution ^H8641 shall be 10,000 ^H6235 H505 cubits toward the east ^H6921 and 10,000 ^H6235 H505 toward the west ^H3220; and it shall be [fn]alongside ^H5980 the holy ^H6944 contribution ^H8641. And its produce ^H8393 shall be food ^H3899 for the workers ^H5647 of the city ^H5892. 19 The workers ^H5647 of the city ^H5892, out of all ^H3605 the tribes ^H7626 of Israel ^H3478, shall cultivate ^H5647 it. 20 The whole ^H3605 contribution ^H8641 shall be 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} by 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} cubits; you shall contribute ^H7311 the holy ^H6944 contribution ^H8641, a [fn]square ^H7243, with the city’s ^H5892 possession ^H272 of land.

21 “And the remainder ^H3498 shall be for the prince ^H5387, on the one ^H2088 side ^H2088 and on the other ^H2088 of the holy ^H6944 contribution ^H8641 and of the city’s ^H5892 possession ^H272 of land; in front ^H6440 of the 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} cubits of the contribution ^H8641 toward ^H5704 the east ^H6921 border ^H1366 and westward ^H3220 in front ^H6440 of the 25,000 ^{H2568 H6242 H505} toward ^H5921 the west ^H3220 border ^H1366, alongside ^H5980 the portions ^H2506, it shall be for the prince ^H5387. And the holy ^H6944 contribution ^H8641 and the sanctuary ^H4720 of the house ^H1004 shall be in the middle ^H8432 of it. 22 And apart ^H4480 from the Levites’ ^H3881 possession ^H272 and the city’s ^H5892 possession ^H272, which are in the middle ^H8432 of that which ^H834 belongs ^H1961 to the prince ^H5387, everything between ^H996 the border ^H1366 of Judah ^H3063 and the border ^H1366 of Benjamin ^H1144 shall be for the prince ^H5387.

23 “Now as for the rest ^H3499 of the tribes ^H7626: from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Benjamin ^H1144, one ^H259 portion. 24 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Benjamin ^H1144, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Simeon ^H8095, one ^H259 portion. 25 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Simeon ^H8095, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Issachar ^H3485, one ^H259 portion. 26 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Issachar ^H3485, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Zebulun ^H2074, one ^H259 portion. 27 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Zebulun ^H2074, from the east ^H6921 side ^H6285 to the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, Gad ^H1410, one ^H259 portion. 28 And beside ^H5921 the border ^H1366 of Gad ^H1410, at the south ^H5045 side ^H6285 toward the south ^H8486, the border ^H1366 shall be from Tamar ^H8559 to the waters ^H4325 of Meribath-kadesh ^H4809 H6946, to the brook ^H5158 of Egypt, to the Great ^H1419 Sea ^H3220. 29 This ^H2088 is the land ^H776 which ^H834 you shall divide ^H5307 by ^H5307 lot ^H5307 to the tribes ^H7626 of Israel ^H3478 for an inheritance ^H5159, and these ^H428 are their several portions ^H4256,” declares ^H5002 Lord ^H136 Yahweh ^H3068.

Yahweh Is There

30 “And these ^H428 are the exits ^H8444 of the city ^H5892: on the north ^H6828 side ^H6285, 4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits by measurement ^H4060.

31 “And the gates ^H8179 of the city ^H5892 shall be [fn]named ^H5921 H8034 for the tribes ^H7626 of Israel ^H3478, three ^H7969 gates ^H8179 toward the north ^H6828: the gate ^H8179 of Reuben ^H7205, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Judah ^H3063, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Levi ^H3878, one ^H259. 32 And on the east ^H6921 side ^H6285, 4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits, [fn]shall be three ^H7969 gates ^H8179: the gate ^H8179 of Joseph ^H3130, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Benjamin ^H1144, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Dan ^H1835, one ^H259. 33 And on the south ^H5045 side ^H6285, 4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits by measurement ^H4060, [fn]shall be three ^H7969 gates ^H8179: the gate ^H8179 of Simeon ^H8095, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Issachar ^H3485, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Zebulun ^H2074, one ^H259. 34 On the west ^H3220 side ^H6285, 4,500 ^{H2568 H3967 H702 H505} cubits, shall be three ^H7969 gates ^H8179: the gate ^H8179 of Gad ^H1410, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Asher ^H836, one ^H259; the gate ^H8179 of Naphtali ^H5321, one ^H259. 35 The city shall be [fn]18,000 ^{H8083 H6240 H505} cubits round ^H5439 about ^H5439; and the name ^H8034 of the city ^H5892 from that day ^H3117 shall be, ‘[fn]Yahweh ^H3068 is there ^H8033.’”
