The Proclamation of Cyrus
1 Now in the first H259 year H8141 of Cyrus H3566 king H4428 of Persia H6539—in order to complete H3615 the word H1697 of [fn]Yahweh H3068 from the mouth H6310 of Jeremiah H3414—Yahweh H3068 stirred H5782 up H5782 the spirit H7307 of Cyrus H3566 king H4428 of Persia H6539, so that he had H5674 a proclamation H6963 pass H5674 throughout all H3605 his kingdom H4438, and also H1571 put it in writing H4385, saying H559:
2 “Thus H3541 says H559 Cyrus H3566 king H4428 of Persia H6539,
‘Yahweh H3068, the God H430 of heaven H8064, has given H5414 me all H3605 the kingdoms H4467 of the earth H776, and He has appointed H6485 me to build H1129 Him a house H1004 in Jerusalem H3389, which H834 is in Judah H3063.
3 Whoever H4310 there is among you of all H3605 His people H5971, may his God H430 be with him! Let him go H5927 up H5927 to Jerusalem H3389 which H834 is in Judah H3063 and rebuild H1129 the house H1004 of Yahweh H3068, the God H430 of Israel H3478; He is the God H430 who H834 is in Jerusalem H3389.
4 So everyone H3605 who remains H7604, at whatever H3605 H834 place H4725 he may sojourn H1481, let the men H376 of [fn]that place H4725 support H5375 him with silver H3701 and gold H2091, with goods H7399 and cattle H929, together H5973 with H5973 a freewill H5071 offering H5071 for the house H1004 of God H430 which H834 is in Jerusalem H3389.’”

6 All H3605 those around H5439 them [fn]strengthened H2388 H3027 them with articles H3627 of silver H3701, with gold H2091, with possessions H7399, with cattle H929, and with precious H4030 things H4030, aside H905 from all H3605 that was given H5068 as H5068 a H5068 freewill H5068 offering H5068. 7 Also King H4428 Cyrus H3566 brought H3318 out H3318 the articles H3627 of the house H1004 of Yahweh H3068, which H834 Nebuchadnezzar H5019 had brought H3318 out H3318 from Jerusalem H3389 and put H5414 in the house H1004 of his gods H430; 8 and Cyrus H3566, king H4428 of Persia H6539, had them brought H3318 out H3318 by the hand H3027 of Mithredath H4990 the treasurer H1489, and he counted H5608 them out H5608 to Sheshbazzar H8339, the prince H5387 of Judah H3063. 9 Now this H428 was their number H4557: 30 H7970 gold H2091 dishes H105, 1,000 H505 silver H3701 dishes H105, 29 H6242 H8672 [fn]duplicates H4252; 10 30 H7970 gold H2091 bowls H3713, 410 H702 H3967 H6235 silver H3701 bowls H3713 of a second H4932 kind and 1,000 H505 other H312 articles H3627. 11 All H3605 the articles H3627 of gold H2091 and silver H3701 numbered 5,400 H2568 H505 H702 H3967. Sheshbazzar H8339 brought H5927 them all H3605 up H5927 with the exiles H1473 who went H5927 up H5927 from Babylon H894 to Jerusalem H3389.
