Yahweh Will Establish Peace

1 In that day ^H3117 this ^H2088 song ^H7892 will be sung ^H7891 in the land ^H776 of Judah ^H3063:

“We have a strong ^H5797 city ^H5892;

He sets ^H7896 up ^H7896 walls ^H2346 and ramparts ^H2426 for salvation ^H3444.

2 “Open ^H6605 the gates ^H8179, that the righteous ^H6662 nation ^H1471 may enter ^H935,

The one that keeps ^H8104 faithfulness ^H529.

3 “The steadfast ^H5564 of mind ^H3336 You will keep ^H5341 in perfect ^H7965 peace ^H7965

Because ^H3588 he trusts ^H982 in You.

4 “Trust ^H982 in Yahweh ^H3068 forever ^H5703,

For in Yah ^H3050—Yahweh ^H3068 Himself—we have an everlasting ^H5769 Rock ^H6697.

5 “For He has laid ^H7817 low ^H7817 those who settle ^H3427 on high ^H4791, the [fn]exalted ^H7682 city ^H7151;

O Upright ^H3477 One ^H3477, make ^H6424 the path ^H4570 of the righteous ^H6662 level ^H6424.

8 Indeed ^H637, while following the way ^H734 of Your judgments ^H4941, O Yahweh ^H3068,

We have hoped ^H6960 for You eagerly ^H6960;

Your name ^H8034—the memory ^H2143 of You—is the desire ^H8378 of our souls ^H5315.

9 At night ^H3915 [fn]my soul ^H5315 longs ^H183 for You,

[fn]They behold ^H2372 Your zeal ^H7068 for the people ^H5971 and are put ^H954 to ^H954 shame ^H954;

Indeed ^H637, [fn]fire ^H784 will devour ^H398 Your adversaries ^H6862.

12 Yahweh ^H3068, You will establish ^H8239 peace ^H7965 for us,

13 O Yahweh ^H3068 our God ^H430, other masters ^H113 besides ^H2108 You have ruled ^H1166 us;

But through You alone ^H905 we bring Your name ^H8034 to remembrance ^H2142.

14 The dead ^H4191 will not live ^H2421; the [fn]departed ^H7496 spirits ^H7496 will not rise ^H6965;

16 O Yahweh ^H3068, they visited ^H6485 You in distress ^H6862;

They [fn]could only whisper ^H6694 H3908 a prayer ^H3908;

Your chastening ^H4148 was upon them.
