The King in His Beauty

1 Woe ^H1945 to you, O destroyer ^H7703,

While you were not destroyed ^H7703;

And he who is treacherous ^H898, while others did not deal ^H898 treacherously ^H898 with him.

As soon as you finish ^H8552 destroying ^H7703, you will be destroyed ^H7703;

As soon as you cease ^H5239 to deal ^H898 treacherously ^H898, others will deal ^H898 treacherously ^H898 with you.

2 O Yahweh ^H3068, be ^H2603 gracious ^H2603 to us; we have hoped ^H6960 in You.

Be [fn]their [fn]strength ^H2220 every morning ^H1242,

Our salvation ^H3444 also ^H637 in the time ^H6256 of distress ^H6869.

3 At the sound ^H6963 of the tumult ^H1995 peoples ^H5971 flee ^H5074;

At the lifting ^H7427 up of Yourself nations ^H1471 scatter ^H5310.

4 Your spoil ^H7998 is gathered ^H622 as the caterpillar ^H2625 gathers ^H625;

As locusts ^H1357 rushing ^H4944 about ^H4944 men rush ^H8264 about ^H8264 on it.

5 Yahweh ^H3068 is ^H7682 exalted ^H7682, for He dwells ^H7931 on high ^H4791;

He has filled ^H4390 Zion ^H6726 with justice ^H4941 and righteousness ^H6666.

6 And He will be the [fn]stability ^H530 of your times ^H6256,

A wealth ^H2633 of salvation ^H3444, wisdom ^H2451, and knowledge ^H1847;

The fear ^H3374 of Yahweh ^H3068 is his treasure ^H214.

7 Behold ^H2005, their brave ^H691 men ^H691 cry ^H6817 in [fn]the streets ^H2351;

14 Sinners ^H2400 in Zion ^H6726 are in dread ^H6342;

“Who ^H4310 among us can sojourn ^H1481 with the consuming ^H398 fire ^H784?

Who ^H4310 among us can sojourn ^H1481 with [fn]continual ^H5769 burning ^H4168?”

15 He who walks ^H1980 righteously ^H6666 and speaks ^H1696 uprightly ^H4339;

He who rejects ^H3988 greedy ^H1215 gain ^H1215 of [fn]oppression ^H4642,

Where ^H346 is he who counts ^H5608 the towers ^H4026?”

And on which no ^H3808 mighty ^H117 ship ^H6716 will pass ^H5674—

22 For Yahweh ^H3068 is our judge ^H8199,

Yahweh ^H3068 is our lawgiver ^H2710,

Yahweh ^H3068 is our king ^H4428;

He will save ^H3467 us—

23 Your cords ^H2256 hang ^H5203 slack ^H5203;

They cannot ^H1077 hold ^H2388 the base ^H3653 of their mast ^H8650 firmly ^H2388,

Nor ^H1077 spread ^H6566 out ^H6566 the sail ^H5251.

24 And no ^H1077 one who dwells ^H7934 there will say ^H559, “I am sick ^H2470”;
