Yahweh’s Appointed Times

1 And Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 again to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

2 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and say ^H559 to them, ‘The appointed ^H4150 times ^H4150 of Yahweh ^H3068 which ^H834 you shall proclaim ^H7121 as holy ^H6944 convocations ^H4744—My appointed ^H4150 times ^H4150 are these ^H428:

The Sabbath

3 ‘For six ^H8337 days ^H3117 work ^H4399 may be done ^H6213, but on the seventh ^H7637 day ^H3117 there is a sabbath ^H7676 of complete ^H7677 rest ^H7677, a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744. You shall not do ^H6213 any ^H3605 work ^H4399; it is a sabbath ^H7676 to Yahweh ^H3068 in all ^H3605 your places of habitation ^H4186.

The Passover

4 ‘These ^H428 are the appointed ^H4150 times ^H4150 of Yahweh ^H3068, holy ^H6944 convocations ^H4744 which ^H834 you shall proclaim ^H7121 at the times ^H4150 appointed ^H4150 for them.

5 In the first ^H7223 month ^H2320, on the fourteenth ^H702 H6240 day of the month ^H2320 [fn]at twilight ^H6153 is the Passover ^H6453 of Yahweh ^H3068. 6 Then on the fifteenth ^H2568 H6240 day ^H3117 of the same ^H2088 month ^H2320 there is the Feast ^H2282 of Unleavened ^H4682 Bread ^H4682 to Yahweh ^H3068; for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 you shall eat ^H398 unleavened ^H4682 bread ^H4682. 7 On the first ^H7223 day ^H3117 you shall have ^H1961 a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744; you shall not do ^H6213 any ^H3605 laborious ^H5656 work ^H4399. 8 But for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 you shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068. On the seventh ^H7637 day ^H3117 is a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744; you shall not do ^H6213 any ^H3605 laborious ^H5656 work ^H4399.’”

The Feast of the Harvest

9 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

10 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and say ^H559 to them, ‘When ^H3588 you enter ^H935 the land ^H776 which ^H834 I am going to give ^H5414 to you and reap ^H7114 its harvest ^H7105, then you shall bring ^H935 in ^H935 the sheaf ^H6016 of the first ^H7225 fruits ^H7225 of your harvest ^H7105 to the priest ^H3548. 11 And he shall wave ^H5130 the sheaf ^H6016 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068 for you to be accepted ^H7522; on the day ^H4283 after ^H4283 the sabbath ^H7676 the priest ^H3548 shall wave ^H5130 it. 12 Now on the day ^H3117 when you wave ^H5130 the sheaf ^H6016, you shall offer ^H6213 a male ^H3532 lamb ^H3532 one year ^H8141 old ^H1121 without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549 for a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 to Yahweh ^H3068. 13 Its grain offering ^H4503 shall then be two-tenths ^H8147 H6241 of an [fn]ephah of fine ^H5560 flour ^H5560 mixed ^H1101 with oil ^H8081, an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068 for a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381, with its drink ^H5262 offering ^H5262, a fourth ^H7243 of a [fn]hin ^H1969 of wine ^H3196. 14 Until ^H5704 this ^H2088 same ^H6106 day ^H3117, until ^H5704 you have brought ^H935 in ^H935 the offering ^H7133 of your God ^H430, you shall eat ^H398 neither ^H3808 bread ^H3899 nor ^H3808 roasted ^H7039 grain ^H7039 nor ^H3808 new ^H3759 growth ^H3759. It is to be a perpetual ^H5769 statute ^H2708 throughout your generations ^H1755 in all ^H3605 your places of habitation ^H4186.

The Feast of Weeks

15 ‘You shall also count ^H5608 for yourselves from the day ^H4283 after ^H4283 the sabbath ^H7676, from the day ^H3117 when you brought ^H935 in ^H935 the sheaf ^H6016 of the wave ^H8573 offering ^H8573; there shall be seven ^H7651 complete ^H8549 sabbaths ^H7676.

16 You shall count ^H5608 fifty ^H2572 days ^H3117 to the day ^H4283 after ^H4283 the seventh ^H7637 sabbath ^H7676; then you shall bring ^H7126 a new ^H2319 grain offering ^H4503 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068. 17 You shall bring ^H935 in ^H935 from your places of habitation ^H4186 two ^H8147 loaves of bread ^H3899 for a wave ^H8573 offering ^H8573, made of two-tenths ^H8147 H6241 of an [fn]ephah; they shall be of a fine ^H5560 flour ^H5560, baked ^H644 with leaven ^H2557 as first ^H1061 fruits ^H1061 to Yahweh ^H3068. 18 Along ^H5921 with ^H5921 the bread ^H3899 you shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 seven ^H7651 one year ^H8141 old ^H1121 male ^H3532 lambs ^H3532 without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549 and a bull ^H6499 H1121 from the herd ^H1241 and two ^H8147 rams ^H352; they shall be a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 to Yahweh ^H3068, with their grain offering ^H4503 and their drink ^H5262 offerings ^H5262, an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 of a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068. 19 You shall also offer ^H6213 one ^H259 male ^H8163 goat ^H8163 for a sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403 and two ^H8147 male ^H3532 lambs ^H3532 one year ^H8141 old ^H1121 for a sacrifice ^H2077 of peace ^H8002 offerings ^H8002. 20 The priest ^H3548 shall then wave ^H5130 them with the bread ^H3899 of the first ^H1061 fruits ^H1061 for a wave ^H8573 offering ^H8573 with two ^H8147 lambs ^H3532 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068; they shall be holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068 for the priest ^H3548. 21 On this ^H2088 same ^H6106 day ^H3117 you shall make ^H7121 a proclamation ^H7121 as well; it shall be ^H1961 a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744 for you. You shall do ^H6213 no ^H3808 H3605 laborious ^H5656 work ^H4399. It is to be a perpetual ^H5769 statute ^H2708 in all ^H3605 your places of habitation ^H4186 throughout your generations ^H1755.

22 ‘When you reap ^H7114 the harvest ^H7105 of your land ^H776, moreover, you shall not reap ^H7114 to the very corners ^H6285 of your field ^H7704 nor ^H3808 gather ^H3950 the gleaning ^H3951 of your harvest ^H7105; you are to leave ^H5800 them for the afflicted ^H6041 and the sojourner ^H1616. I am Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430.’”

The Feast of Trumpets

23 Again Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

24 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, saying ^H559, ‘In the seventh ^H7637 month ^H2320 on the first ^H259 of the month ^H2320 you shall have ^H1961 a [fn]rest ^H7677, a memorial ^H2146 by blowing ^H8643 of trumpets, a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744. 25 You shall not do ^H6213 any ^H3605 laborious ^H5656 work ^H4399, but you shall bring ^H7126 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068.’”

The Day of Atonement

26 And Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

27 “On exactly ^H389 the tenth ^H6218 day of this ^H2088 seventh ^H7637 month ^H2320 is the day ^H3117 of atonement ^H3725; it shall be a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744 for you, and you shall humble ^H6031 your souls ^H5315 and bring ^H7126 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068. 28 And you shall not do ^H6213 any ^H3605 work ^H4399 on this ^H2088 same ^H6106 day ^H3117, for it is a day ^H3117 of atonement ^H3725, to make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 on ^H5921 your behalf ^H5921 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430. 29 If ^H3588 there is any ^H3605 [fn]person ^H5315 who ^H834 will not humble ^H6031 himself on this ^H2088 same ^H6106 day ^H3117, he shall be cut ^H3772 off ^H3772 from his people ^H5971. 30 And as for any ^H3605 person ^H5315 who ^H834 does ^H6213 any ^H3605 work ^H4399 on this ^H2088 same ^H6106 day ^H3117, that person ^H5315 I will cause to perish ^H6 from among ^H7130 his people ^H5971. 31 You shall do ^H6213 no ^H3808 H3605 work ^H4399 at all ^H3605. It is to be a perpetual ^H5769 statute ^H2708 throughout your generations ^H1755 in all ^H3605 your places of habitation ^H4186. 32 It is to be a sabbath ^H7676 of complete ^H7677 rest ^H7677 to you, and you shall humble ^H6031 your souls ^H5315; on the ninth ^H8672 of the month ^H2320 at evening ^H6153, from evening ^H6153 until ^H5704 evening ^H6153 you shall keep ^H7673 your sabbath ^H7676.”

The Feast of Booths

33 Again Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

34 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, saying ^H559, ‘On the fifteenth ^H2568 H6240 of this ^H2088 seventh ^H7637 month ^H2320 is the Feast ^H2282 of Booths ^H5521 for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 to Yahweh ^H3068. 35 On the first ^H7223 day ^H3117 is a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744; you shall do ^H6213 no ^H3808 H3605 laborious ^H5656 work ^H4399 of any ^H3605 kind. 36 For seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 you shall bring ^H7126 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068. On the eighth ^H8066 day ^H3117 you shall have ^H1961 a holy ^H6944 convocation ^H4744 and bring ^H7126 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068; it is a solemn ^H6116 assembly ^H6116. You shall do ^H6213 no ^H3808 H3605 laborious ^H5656 work ^H4399.

37 ‘These ^H428 are the appointed ^H4150 times ^H4150 of Yahweh ^H3068 which ^H834 you shall proclaim ^H7121 as holy ^H6944 convocations ^H4744, to bring ^H7126 offerings ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068—burnt ^H5930 offerings ^H5930 and grain offerings ^H4503, sacrifices ^H2077 and drink ^H5262 offerings ^H5262, each day’s ^H3117 matter ^H1697 on its own day ^H3117— 38 besides ^H4480 H905 those of the sabbaths ^H7676 of Yahweh ^H3068 and besides ^H4480 H905 your gifts ^H4979 and besides ^H4480 H905 all ^H3605 your [fn]votive ^H5088 and freewill ^H5071 offerings ^H5071, which ^H834 you give ^H5414 to Yahweh ^H3068.

39 ‘On exactly ^H389 the fifteenth ^H2568 H6240 day ^H3117 of the seventh ^H7637 month ^H2320, when you have gathered ^H622 in ^H622 the produce ^H8393 of the land ^H776, you shall celebrate ^H2287 the feast ^H2282 of Yahweh ^H3068 for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117, with a [fn]rest ^H7677 on the first ^H7223 day ^H3117 and a [fn]rest ^H7677 on the eighth ^H8066 day ^H3117. 40 And on the first ^H7223 day ^H3117 you shall take ^H3947 for yourselves the [fn]foliage ^H6529 of beautiful ^H1926 trees ^H6086, palm ^H8558 branches ^H3709 and boughs ^H6057 of leafy ^H5687 trees ^H6086 and willows ^H6155 of the brook ^H5158, and you shall be glad ^H8055 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117. 41 You shall thus celebrate ^H2287 it as a feast ^H2282 to Yahweh ^H3068 for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 in the year ^H8141. It shall be a perpetual ^H5769 statute ^H2708 throughout your generations ^H1755; you shall celebrate ^H2287 it in the seventh ^H7637 month ^H2320. 42 You shall [fn]live ^H3427 in booths ^H5521 for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117; all ^H3605 the native-born ^H249 in Israel ^H3478 shall [fn]live ^H3427 in booths ^H5521, 43 so ^H4616 that your generations ^H1755 may know ^H3045 that I had the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 live ^H3427 in booths ^H5521 when I brought ^H3318 them out ^H3318 from the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714. I am Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430.’” 44 So Moses ^H4872 spoke ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 the appointed ^H4150 times ^H4150 of Yahweh ^H3068.
