Holy to Yahweh

1 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

2 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and say ^H559 to them, ‘When ^H3588 a man ^H376 makes ^H6381 a ^H6381 difficult ^H6381 vow ^H5088, he shall be valued according to your valuation ^H6187 of persons ^H5315 belonging to Yahweh ^H3068. 3 If your valuation ^H6187 is of the male ^H2145 from twenty ^H6242 years ^H8141 even to sixty ^H8346 years ^H8141 old ^H1121, then your valuation ^H6187 shall be [fn]fifty ^H2572 shekels ^H8255 of silver ^H3701, according to the shekel ^H8255 of the sanctuary ^H6944. 4 Or if ^H518 it is a female ^H5347, then your valuation ^H6187 shall be thirty ^H7970 shekels ^H8255. 5 If ^H518 it be from five ^H2568 years ^H8141 even to twenty ^H6242 years ^H8141 old ^H1121 then your valuation ^H6187 for the male ^H2145 shall be twenty ^H6242 shekels ^H8255 and for the female ^H5347 ten ^H6235 shekels ^H8255. 6 But if ^H518 they are from a month ^H2320 even up to five ^H2568 years ^H8141 old ^H1121, then your valuation ^H6187 shall be five ^H2568 shekels ^H8255 of silver ^H3701 for the male ^H2145, and for the female ^H5347 your valuation ^H6187 shall be three ^H7969 shekels ^H8255 of silver ^H3701. 7 If ^H518 they are from sixty ^H8346 years ^H8141 old ^H1121 and upward ^H4605, if ^H518 it is a male ^H2145, then your valuation ^H6187 shall be fifteen ^H2568 H6240 shekels ^H8255, and for the female ^H5347 ten ^H6235 shekels ^H8255. 8 But if ^H518 he is ^H4134 poorer ^H4134 than ^H4480 your valuation ^H6187, then he shall be [fn]presented ^H5975 before ^H6440 the priest ^H3548, and the priest ^H3548 shall value ^H6186 him; according ^H5921 H6310 to [fn]the means ^H3027 H5381 of the one who vowed ^H5087, the priest ^H3548 shall value ^H6186 him.

9 ‘Now if ^H518 it is an animal ^H929 of the kind which ^H834 [fn]men can bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 as an offering ^H7133 to Yahweh ^H3068, any ^H3605 such ^H834 that one gives ^H5414 to Yahweh ^H3068 shall be holy ^H6944. 10 He shall not replace ^H2498 it or exchange ^H4171 it, a good ^H2896 for a bad ^H7451, or ^H176 a bad ^H7451 for a good ^H2896; or if ^H518 he does ^H4171 exchange ^H4171 animal ^H929 for animal ^H929, then both it and its substitute ^H8545 shall become ^H1961 holy ^H6944. 11 If ^H518, however, it is any ^H3605 unclean ^H2931 animal ^H929 of the kind which ^H834 [fn]men do not bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 as an offering ^H7133 to Yahweh ^H3068, then he shall [fn]present ^H5975 the animal ^H929 before ^H6440 the priest ^H3548. 12 And the priest ^H3548 shall value ^H6186 it [fn]as either ^H996 good ^H2896 or ^H996 bad ^H7451; as you, the priest ^H3548, value ^H6187 it, so ^H3651 it shall be. 13 But if ^H518 he should ever ^H1350 wish to redeem ^H1350 it, then he shall add ^H3254 one-fifth ^H2549 of it to your valuation ^H6187.

14 ‘Now if ^H3588 a man ^H376 sets ^H6942 his house ^H1004 apart ^H6942 as holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068, then the priest ^H3548 shall value ^H6186 it [fn]as either ^H996 good ^H2896 or ^H996 bad ^H7451; as the priest ^H3548 values ^H6186 it, so ^H3651 it shall stand ^H6965. 15 Yet if ^H518 the one who sets ^H6942 it apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 should wish to redeem ^H1350 his house ^H1004, then he shall add ^H3254 one-fifth ^H2549 of your valuation ^H6187 price ^H3701 to it, so that it may be his.

16 ‘Again, if ^H518 a man ^H376 sets ^H6942 apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 to Yahweh ^H3068 a portion of the fields ^H7704 of his own possession ^H272, then your valuation ^H6187 shall be [fn]proportionate ^H6310 to the seed ^H2233 needed for it: a [fn]homer ^H2563 of barley ^H8184 seed ^H2233 at [fn]fifty ^H2572 shekels ^H8255 of silver ^H3701. 17 If ^H518 he sets ^H6942 apart ^H6942 his field ^H7704 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 from the year ^H8141 of jubilee ^H3104, according to your valuation ^H6187 it shall stand ^H6965. 18 If ^H518 he sets ^H6942 apart ^H6942 his field ^H7704 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 after ^H310 the jubilee ^H3104, however, then the priest ^H3548 shall calculate ^H2803 the price ^H3701 for [fn]him [fn]proportionate ^H6310 to the years ^H8141 that are left ^H3498 until ^H5704 the year ^H8141 of jubilee ^H3104; and it shall be deducted ^H1639 from your valuation ^H6187. 19 If ^H518 the one who sets ^H6942 it apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 should ever ^H1350 wish to redeem ^H1350 the field ^H7704, then he shall add ^H3254 one-fifth ^H2549 of your valuation ^H6187 price ^H3701 to it so that it may stand ^H6965 as his own. 20 Yet if ^H518 he will not redeem ^H1350 the field ^H7704, [fn]but has sold ^H4376 the field ^H7704 to another ^H312 man ^H376, it may no ^H3808 longer ^H5750 be redeemed ^H1350; 21 and it will be that when it [fn]reverts ^H3318 in the jubilee ^H3104, the field ^H7704 shall be holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068, like a field ^H7704 that is [fn]devoted ^H2764; it shall be for the priest ^H3548 as his possession ^H272. 22 Or if ^H518 he sets ^H6942 apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 to Yahweh ^H3068 a field ^H7704 which he has bought ^H4736, which ^H834 is not a portion of the field ^H7704 of his own possession ^H272, 23 then the priest ^H3548 shall calculate ^H2803 for [fn]him the amount ^H4373 of your valuation ^H6187 up to the year ^H8141 of jubilee ^H3104; and he shall on that day ^H3117 give ^H5414 your valuation ^H6187 as holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068. 24 In the year ^H8141 of jubilee ^H3104 the field ^H7704 shall return ^H7725 to the one from whom ^H834 he bought ^H7069 it, to whom ^H834 the possession ^H272 of the land ^H776 belongs. 25 Every ^H3605 valuation ^H6187 of yours, moreover, shall be according to the shekel ^H8255 of the sanctuary ^H6944. The shekel ^H8255 shall be twenty ^H6242 [fn]gerahs ^H1626.

26 ‘However ^H389, a firstborn ^H1060 among animals ^H929, which ^H834 as ^H1069 a ^H1069 firstborn ^H1069 belongs ^H1069 to Yahweh ^H3068, no ^H3808 man ^H376 may set ^H6942 it apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942; whether ^H518 ox ^H7794 or ^H518 sheep ^H7716, it is Yahweh’s ^H3068. 27 But if ^H518 it is among the unclean ^H2931 animals ^H929, then he shall [fn]ransom ^H6299 it according to your valuation ^H6187 and add ^H3254 to it one-fifth ^H2549 of it; and if ^H518 it is not redeemed ^H1350, then it shall be sold ^H4376 according to your valuation ^H6187.

28 ‘Nevertheless ^H389, anything ^H3605 which ^H834 a man ^H376 [fn]devotes ^H2763 to Yahweh ^H3068 out of all ^H3605 that he has, of man ^H120 or animal ^H929 or of the fields ^H7704 of his own possession ^H272, shall not be sold ^H4376 or redeemed ^H1350. Anything ^H3605 [fn]devoted ^H2764 to destruction ^H2764 is most ^H6944 holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068. 29 No ^H3808 H3605 [fn]one ^H3605 who ^H834 may have been [fn]devoted ^H2763 among ^H4480 men ^H120 shall be [fn]ransomed ^H6299; he shall surely ^H4191 be put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191.

30 ‘Thus all ^H3605 the tithe ^H4643 of the land ^H776, of the seed ^H2233 of the land ^H776 or of the fruit ^H6529 of the tree ^H6086, belongs to Yahweh ^H3068; it is holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068. 31 If ^H518, therefore, a man ^H376 wishes ^H1350 to redeem ^H1350 part of his tithe ^H4643, he shall add ^H3254 to it one-fifth ^H2549 of it. 32 For every ^H3605 tenth ^H4643 part ^H4643 of herd ^H1241 or flock ^H6629, whatever ^H3605 H834 passes ^H5674 under ^H8478 the rod ^H7626, the tenth ^H6224 one shall be holy ^H6944 to Yahweh ^H3068. 33 He shall not inquire ^H1239 whether ^H996 it is good ^H2896 or bad ^H7451, nor ^H3808 shall he exchange ^H4171 it; or if ^H518 he does ^H4171 exchange ^H4171 it, then both it and its substitute ^H8545 shall become ^H1961 holy ^H6944. It shall not be redeemed ^H1350.’”

34 These ^H428 are the commandments ^H4687 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872 for the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 at Mount ^H2022 Sinai ^H5514.
