The Parable of the Lost Sheep

1 Now ^G1161 all ^G3956 the tax ^G5057 collectors ^G5057 and the [fn]sinners ^G268 were coming ^G1448 near ^G1448 Him to listen ^G191 to Him.

2 And both ^G5037 the Pharisees ^G5330 and the scribes ^G1122 were grumbling ^G1234, saying ^G3004, “This ^G3778 man ^G3778 receives ^G4327 sinners ^G268 and eats ^G4906 with them.”

3 So ^G1161 He told ^G3004 them this ^G3778 parable ^G3850, saying ^G3004, 4 “What ^G5101 man ^G444 among ^G1537 you, if he has ^G2192 one hundred ^G1540 sheep ^G4263 and has lost ^G622 one ^G1520 of them, does not leave ^G2641 the ninety-nine ^G1768 G1767 in the [fn]open ^G2048 pasture ^G2048 and go ^G4198 after ^G1909 the one which is lost ^G622 until ^G2193 he finds ^G2147 it? 5 And when he has found ^G2147 it, he lays ^G2007 it on his shoulders ^G5606, rejoicing ^G5463. 6 And when he comes ^G2064 home ^G3624, he calls ^G4779 together ^G4779 his friends ^G5384 and his neighbors ^G1069, saying ^G3004 to them, ‘Rejoice ^G4796 with ^G4796 me, for I have found ^G2147 my sheep ^G4263 which was lost ^G622!’ 7 I tell ^G3004 you that in the same ^G3779 way ^G3779, there will be more joy ^G5479 in heaven ^G3772 over ^G1909 one ^G1520 sinner ^G268 who repents ^G3340 than ^G2228 over ^G1909 ninety-nine ^G1768 G1767 righteous ^G1342 persons ^G1342 who ^G3748 need ^G5532 no ^G3756 repentance ^G3341.

The Parable of the Lost Drachma

8 “Or ^G2228 what ^G5101 woman ^G1135, if ^G1437 she has ^G2192 ten ^G1176 [fn]drachmas ^G1406 and loses ^G622 one ^G1520 [fn]drachma ^G1406, does not light ^G681 a lamp ^G3088 and sweep ^G4563 the house ^G3614 and search ^G2212 carefully ^G1960 until ^G2193 she finds ^G2147 it?

The Parable of the Prodigal Son
