PSALM 106

Remember Me, O Yahweh

1 [fn]Praise ^H1984 Yah ^H3050!

Oh give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Yahweh ^H3068, for He is good ^H2896;

For His lovingkindness ^H2617 endures forever ^H5769.

2 Who ^H4310 can speak ^H4448 of the mighty ^H1369 deeds ^H1369 of Yahweh ^H3068,

Or can make ^H8085 all ^H3605 His praise ^H8416 to be heard ^H8085?

3 How blessed ^H835 are those who keep ^H8104 [fn]justice ^H4941,

[fn]And he who does ^H6213 righteousness ^H6666 at all ^H3605 times ^H6256!

4 Remember ^H2142 me, O Yahweh ^H3068, in Your favor ^H7522 [fn]toward Your people ^H5971;

Visit ^H6485 me with Your salvation ^H3444,

5 That I may see ^H7200 the goodness ^H2896 of Your chosen ^H972 ones ^H972,

That I may rejoice ^H8055 in the gladness ^H8057 of Your nation ^H1471,

That I may boast ^H1984 with Your [fn]inheritance ^H5159.

6 We have sinned ^H2398 with ^H5973 our fathers ^H1,

We have committed ^H5753 iniquity ^H5753, we have acted ^H7561 wickedly ^H7561.

7 Our fathers ^H1 in Egypt ^H4714 did not consider ^H7919 Your wondrous ^H6381 deeds ^H6381;

They did not remember ^H2142 Your abundant ^H7230 lovingkindnesses ^H2617,

But they rebelled ^H4784 by the sea ^H3220, at the [fn]Red ^H5488 Sea ^H3220.

8 Yet He saved ^H3467 them for the sake ^H4616 of His name ^H8034,

That He might make ^H3045 His might ^H1369 known ^H3045.

9 Thus He rebuked ^H1605 the [fn]Red ^H5488 Sea ^H3220 and it dried ^H2717 up ^H2717,

And He led ^H1980 them through the deeps ^H8415, as through the wilderness ^H4057.

10 So He saved ^H3467 them from the [fn]hand ^H3027 of the one who hated ^H8130 them,

And redeemed ^H1350 them from the [fn]hand ^H3027 of the enemy ^H340.

And covered ^H3680 up ^H3680 the [fn]company ^H5712 of Abiram ^H48.

18 And a fire ^H784 burned ^H1197 up ^H1197 in their company ^H5712;

The flame ^H3852 consumed ^H3857 the wicked ^H7563.

19 They made ^H6213 a calf ^H5695 in Horeb ^H2722

And worshiped ^H2331 a molten ^H4541 image ^H4541.

20 Thus they exchanged ^H4171 their glory ^H3519

For the image ^H8403 of an ox ^H7794 that eats ^H398 grass ^H6212.

21 They forgot ^H7911 God ^H410 their Savior ^H3467,

Who had done ^H6213 great ^H1419 things ^H1419 in Egypt ^H4714,

22 Wondrous ^H6381 deeds ^H6381 in the land ^H776 of Ham ^H2526

And awesome ^H3372 things by the [fn]Red ^H5488 Sea ^H3220.

23 Therefore He said ^H559 that He would destroy ^H8045 them,

Had not Moses ^H4872 His chosen ^H972 one stood ^H5975 in the breach ^H6556 before ^H6440 Him,

To turn ^H7725 away ^H7725 His wrath ^H2534 from [fn]eradicating ^H7843 them.

24 Then they despised ^H3988 the pleasant ^H2532 land ^H776;

They did not believe ^H539 in His word ^H1697,

25 But grumbled ^H7279 in their tents ^H168;

They did not listen ^H8085 to the voice ^H6963 of Yahweh ^H3068.

26 So He [fn]swore ^H5375 H3027 to them

To make ^H5307 them fall ^H5307 in the wilderness ^H4057,

27 And to make ^H5307 their seed ^H2233 fall ^H5307 among the nations ^H1471

And to scatter ^H2219 them in the lands ^H776.

28 They then joined ^H6775 themselves to [fn]Baal-peor ^H1187,

And ate ^H398 sacrifices ^H2077 offered to the dead ^H4191.

29 Thus they provoked ^H3707 Him to ^H3707 anger ^H3707 with their actions ^H4611,

And the plague ^H4046 broke ^H6555 out ^H6555 among them.

30 Then Phinehas ^H6372 stood ^H5975 up and interceded ^H6419,

And so the plague ^H4046 was checked ^H6113.

31 And it was counted ^H2803 to him for righteousness ^H6666,

32 They also provoked ^H7107 Him to ^H7107 wrath ^H7107 at the waters ^H4325 of [fn]Meribah ^H4809,

33 Because ^H3588 they were rebellious ^H4784 against ^H854 [fn]His Spirit ^H7307,

He spoke ^H981 rashly ^H981 with his lips ^H8193.

34 They did not destroy ^H8045 the peoples ^H5971,

As Yahweh ^H3068 commanded ^H559 them,

35 But they mingled ^H6148 with the nations ^H1471

And learned ^H3925 their works ^H4639,

36 And served ^H5647 their idols ^H6091,

Which became ^H1961 a snare ^H4170 to them.

37 They sacrificed ^H2076 their sons ^H1121 and their daughters ^H1323 to the demons ^H7700,

38 And they shed ^H8210 innocent ^H5355 blood ^H1818,

The blood ^H1818 of their sons ^H1121 and their daughters ^H1323,

Whom ^H834 they sacrificed ^H2076 to the idols ^H6091 of Canaan ^H3667;

And the land ^H776 was polluted ^H2610 with the blood ^H1818.

39 Thus they became ^H2930 unclean ^H2930 in their works ^H4639,

And played ^H2181 the ^H2181 harlot ^H2181 in their actions ^H4611.

40 So the anger ^H639 of Yahweh ^H3068 was kindled ^H2734 against His people ^H5971

And He abhorred ^H8581 His [fn]inheritance ^H5159.

41 Then He gave ^H5414 them into the hand ^H3027 of the [fn]nations ^H1471,

And those who hated ^H8130 them ruled ^H4910 over them.

42 Their enemies ^H340 oppressed ^H3905 them,

And they were subdued ^H3665 under ^H8478 their hand ^H3027.

43 Many ^H7227 times ^H6471 He would deliver ^H5337 them;

But they were rebellious ^H4784 in their counsel ^H6098,

And so they sank ^H4355 down ^H4355 in their iniquity ^H5771.

44 Nevertheless He looked ^H7200 upon their distress ^H6862

When He heard ^H8085 their cry ^H7440 of lamentation ^H7440;

45 And He remembered ^H2142 for them His covenant ^H1285,

And [fn]relented ^H5162 according to the abundance ^H7230 of His lovingkindness ^H2617.

46 He also made ^H5414 them objects of compassion ^H7356

In the presence ^H6440 of all ^H3605 their captors ^H7617.

47 Save ^H3467 us, O Yahweh ^H3068 our God ^H430,

And gather ^H6908 us from among the nations ^H1471,

To give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Your holy ^H6944 name ^H8034

And revel ^H7623 in Your praise ^H8416.

48 Blessed ^H1288 be Yahweh ^H3068, the God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478,

From everlasting ^H5769 to everlasting ^H5769.

And let all ^H3605 the people ^H5971 say ^H559, “Amen ^H543.”
