God Has Not Rejected Israel

1 I say ^G3004 then ^G3767, has God ^G2316 rejected ^G683 His people ^G2992? May it never ^G3361 be! For I too ^G2532 am ^G1510 an Israelite ^G2475, a seed ^G4690 of Abraham ^G11, of the tribe ^G5443 of Benjamin ^G958.

2 [fn]GOD ^G2316 HAS NOT REJECTED ^G683 HIS PEOPLE ^G2992 whom ^G3739 He foreknew ^G4267. Or ^G2228 do you not know ^G6063 what ^G5101 the Scripture ^G1124 says ^G3004 in the passage about Elijah ^G2243, how ^G5613 he appeals ^G1793 to God ^G2316 against ^G2596 Israel ^G2474? 3 “Lord ^G2962, THEY HAVE KILLED ^G615 YOUR PROPHETS ^G4396, THEY HAVE TORN ^G2679 DOWN ^G2679 YOUR ALTARS ^G2379, AND I ALONE ^G3441 AM LEFT ^G5275, AND THEY ARE SEEKING ^G2212 MY LIFE ^G5590.” 4 But what ^G5101 does the divine ^G5538 response ^G5538 say ^G3004 to him? “I HAVE LEFT ^G2641 for Myself ^G1683 SEVEN ^G2035 THOUSAND ^G2035 MEN ^G435 WHO ^G3748 HAVE NOT BOWED ^G2578 THE KNEE ^G1119 TO BAAL ^G896.” 5 In this ^G3779 way ^G3779 then ^G3767, at the present ^G3568 time ^G2540, a remnant ^G3005 according ^G2596 to God’s [fn]gracious ^G5485 choice ^G1589 has also ^G2532 come ^G1096 to be. 6 But if ^G1487 it is by grace ^G5485, it is no ^G3765 longer ^G3765 of works ^G2041, otherwise ^G1893 grace ^G5485 is no ^G3765 longer ^G3765 grace ^G5485.

“LET THEIR TABLE ^G5132 BECOME ^G1096 A SNARE ^G3803 AND A TRAP ^G2339,

AND A STUMBLING ^G4625 BLOCK ^G4625 AND A RETRIBUTION ^G468 TO THEM.

10 “LET THEIR EYES ^G3788 BE DARKENED ^G4654 TO SEE ^G991 NOT,

AND BEND ^G4781 THEIR BACKS ^G3577 FOREVER ^G1223 G3956.”

Gentiles Grafted In

11 I say ^G3004 then ^G3767, did they stumble ^G4417 so ^G2443 as to fall ^G4098? May it never ^G3361 be! But by their transgression ^G3900 salvation ^G4991 has come to the Gentiles ^G1484, to make ^G3863 them jealous ^G3863.

12 Now ^G1161 if ^G1487 their transgression ^G3900 is riches ^G4149 for the world ^G2889 and their failure ^G2275 is riches ^G4149 for the Gentiles ^G1484, how ^G4214 much ^G4214 more ^G3123 will their [fn]fullness ^G4138 be! 13 But I am speaking ^G3004 to you who are Gentiles ^G1484. 17 But if ^G1487 some ^G5100 of the branches ^G2798 were broken ^G1575 off ^G1575, and you, being ^G1510 a wild ^G65 olive ^G65, were grafted ^G1461 in ^G1461 among ^G1722 them and became ^G1096 a partaker ^G4791 with them of the [fn]rich ^G4096 root ^G4491 of the olive ^G1636 tree ^G1636, 18 do not boast ^G2620 against ^G2620 the branches ^G2798. But if ^G1487 you do boast ^G2620 against ^G2620 them, remember that it is not you who supports ^G941 the root ^G4491, but the root ^G4491 supports you. 19 You will say ^G3004 then ^G3767, “Branches ^G2798 were broken ^G1575 off ^G1575 so ^G2443 that I might be grafted ^G1461 in ^G1461.” 20 Quite ^G2573 right ^G2573! They were broken ^G1575 off ^G1575 for their unbelief ^G570, but you stand ^G2476 by your faith ^G4102. Do not be ^G5426 haughty ^G5426 G5308, but fear ^G5399, 21 for if ^G1487 God ^G2316 did not spare ^G5339 the natural ^G5449 branches ^G2798, He will not spare ^G5339 you, either ^G3761. 22 Behold ^G3708 then ^G3767 the kindness ^G5544 and severity ^G663 of God ^G2316; to those ^G3588 who fell ^G4098, severity ^G663, but to you, God’s ^G2316 kindness ^G5544, if ^G1437 you continue ^G1961 in ^G1437 His kindness ^G5544; otherwise ^G1893 you also ^G2532 will be cut ^G1581 off ^G1581. 23 And they also ^G2548, if ^G1437 they do not continue ^G1961 in ^G1437 their unbelief ^G570, will be grafted ^G1461 in ^G1461, for God ^G2316 is able ^G1415 to graft ^G1461 them in ^G1461 again ^G3825. 24 For if ^G1437 you were cut ^G1581 off ^G1581 from what ^G65 is by nature ^G5449 a wild ^G65 olive ^G65 tree ^G65, and were grafted ^G1461 contrary ^G3844 to nature ^G5449 into a cultivated ^G2565 olive ^G2565 tree ^G2565, how ^G4214 much ^G4214 more ^G3123 will these ^G3778 who ^G3588 are the natural ^G2596 G5449 branches be grafted ^G1461 into their own ^G2398 olive ^G1636 tree ^G1636?

All Israel Will Be Saved

25 For I do not want ^G2309 you, brothers ^G80, to be uninformed ^G50 of this ^G3778 mystery ^G3466—so ^G2443 G3361 that you will not be wise ^G5429 in your own ^G1438 estimation ^G1438—that a partial ^G3313 hardening ^G4457 has happened ^G1096 to Israel ^G2474 until ^G891 the fullness ^G4138 of the Gentiles ^G1484 has come ^G1525 in ^G1525;

26 and so ^G3779 all ^G3956 Israel ^G2474 will be saved ^G4982; just ^G2531 as it is written ^G1125,

“THE DELIVERER ^G4506 WILL COME ^G2240 FROM ZION ^G4622,

HE WILL REMOVE ^G654 UNGODLINESS ^G763 FROM JACOB ^G2384.”

27 “AND THIS ^G3778 IS [fn]MY COVENANT ^G1242 WITH THEM,

WHEN ^G3752 I TAKE ^G851 AWAY ^G851 THEIR SINS ^G266.”

28 [fn]From the standpoint ^G2596 of the gospel ^G2098 they are enemies ^G2190 for your sake ^G1223, but [fn]from the standpoint ^G2596 of God’s choice ^G1589 they are beloved ^G27 for the sake ^G1223 of the fathers ^G3962; 29 for the gifts ^G5486 and the calling ^G2821 of God ^G2316 are irrevocable ^G278. 30 For just ^G5618 as you once ^G4218 were disobedient ^G544 to God ^G2316, but now ^G3568 have been shown ^G1653 mercy ^G1653 because of their disobedience ^G543, 31 so ^G3779 these ^G3778 also ^G2532 now ^G3568 have been disobedient ^G544, that because of the mercy ^G1656 shown to you they also ^G2532 may now ^G3568 be shown ^G1653 mercy ^G1653. 32 For God ^G2316 has shut ^G4788 up ^G4788 all ^G3956 in disobedience ^G543 so ^G2443 that He may show ^G1653 mercy ^G1653 to all ^G3956.

33 Oh ^G5599, the depth ^G899 of the riches ^G4149 and wisdom ^G4678 and knowledge ^G1108 of God ^G2316! How ^G5613 unsearchable ^G419 are His judgments ^G2917 and unfathomable ^G421 His ways ^G3598! 34 For WHO ^G5101 HAS KNOWN ^G1097 THE MIND ^G3563 OF THE LORD ^G2962, OR ^G2228 WHO ^G5101 BECAME ^G1096 HIS COUNSELOR ^G4825? 35 Or ^G2228 WHO ^G5101 HAS FIRST ^G4272 GIVEN ^G4272 TO HIM [fn]THAT IT MIGHT BE REPAID ^G467 TO HIM? 36 For from Him and through ^G1223 Him and to Him are all ^G3956 things ^G3956. To Him be the glory ^G1391 [fn]forever ^G165. Amen ^G281.
