Peaceful Latter Days

1 And it will come ^H1961 about ^H1961 in the last ^H319 days ^H3117

That the mountain ^H2022 of the house ^H1004 of the LORD ^H3068

Will be established ^H3559 [fn]as the chief ^H7218 of the mountains ^H2022.

It will be raised ^H5375 above ^H4480 the hills ^H1389,

And the peoples ^H5971 will stream ^H5102 to it.

2 Many ^H7227 nations ^H1471 will come ^H1980 and say ^H559,

“Come ^H1980 and let’s go ^H5927 up ^H5927 to the mountain ^H2022 of the LORD ^H3068

And to the house ^H1004 of the God ^H430 of Jacob ^H3290,

So that He may teach ^H3384 us about ^H4480 His ways ^H1870,

And that we may walk ^H1980 in His paths ^H734.”

For from Zion ^H6726 will go ^H3318 forth ^H3318 the law ^H8451,

And the word ^H1697 of the LORD ^H3068 from Jerusalem ^H3389.

3 And He will judge ^H8199 between ^H996 many ^H7227 peoples ^H5971

And render ^H3198 decisions ^H3198 for mighty ^H6099, [fn]distant ^H7350 nations ^H1471.

Then they will beat ^H3807 their swords ^H2719 into plowshares ^H855,

And their spears ^H2595 into pruning ^H4211 hooks ^H4211;

Nation ^H1471 will not lift ^H5375 a sword ^H2719 against ^H413 nation ^H1471,

4 Instead, each ^H376 of them will sit ^H3427 under ^H8478 his vine ^H1612

And under ^H8478 his fig ^H8384 tree ^H8384,

With no ^H369 one ^H369 to make ^H2729 them afraid ^H2729,

Because ^H3588 the mouth ^H6310 of the LORD ^H3068 of armies ^H6635 has spoken ^H1696.

5 Though ^H3588 all ^H3605 the peoples ^H5971 walk ^H1980,

As for us, we will walk ^H1980

[fn]Hill ^H6076 of the daughter ^H1323 of Zion ^H6726,

To you it will come ^H857—

Yes, the former ^H7223 dominion ^H4475 will come ^H935,

The kingdom ^H4467 of the daughter ^H1323 of Jerusalem ^H3389.

9 “Now ^H6258, why ^H4100 do you cry ^H7321 out ^H7321 loudly ^H7452?

Is ^H369 there ^H369 no ^H369 king ^H4428 among you,

Or ^H518 has your counselor ^H3289 perished ^H6,

That agony ^H2427 has gripped ^H2388 you like a woman in ^H3205 childbirth ^H3205?

10 “Writhe ^H2342 and scream ^H1518,

Daughter ^H1323 of Zion ^H6726,

Like a woman in ^H3205 childbirth ^H3205;

For now ^H6258 you will go ^H3318 out ^H3318 of the city ^H7151,

Live ^H7931 in the field ^H7704,

And go ^H935 to Babylon ^H894.

There ^H8033 you will be rescued ^H5337,

There ^H8033 the LORD ^H3068 will redeem ^H1350 you

From the hand ^H3709 of your enemies ^H340.

11 “And now ^H6258 many ^H7227 nations ^H1471 have been assembled ^H622 against ^H5921 you

Who say ^H559, ‘Let her be defiled ^H2610,

And let our eyes ^H5869 [fn]gloat ^H2372 over Zion ^H6726!’

12 “But they do not know ^H3045 the thoughts ^H4284 of the LORD ^H3068,

And they do not understand ^H995 His plan ^H6098;

For He has gathered ^H6908 them like sheaves ^H5995 to the threshing ^H1637 floor ^H1637.

13 “Arise ^H6965 and thresh ^H1758, daughter ^H1323 of Zion ^H6726,

For I will make ^H7760 your horn ^H7161 iron ^H1270,

And I will make ^H7760 your hoofs ^H6541 bronze ^H5154,

So that you may pulverize ^H1854 many ^H7227 peoples ^H5971,

And dedicate ^H2763 to the LORD ^H3068 their unjust ^H1215 profit ^H1215,

And their wealth ^H2428 to the Lord ^H136 of all ^H3605 the earth ^H776.
