On Life and Conduct

2 Every ^H3605 person’s ^H376 way ^H1870 is right ^H3477 in his own eyes ^H5869,

But the LORD ^H3068 examines ^H8505 the hearts ^H3820.

3 To do ^H6213 righteousness ^H6666 and justice ^H4941

Is preferred ^H977 by the LORD ^H3068 more ^H4480 than ^H4480 sacrifice ^H2077.

4 Haughty ^H7312 eyes ^H5869 and a proud ^H7342 heart ^H3820,

The lamp ^H5215 of the wicked ^H7563, is sin ^H2403.

5 The plans ^H4284 of the diligent ^H2742 certainly ^H389 lead to advantage ^H4195,

But everyone ^H3605 who is ^H213 in ^H213 a ^H213 hurry ^H213 certainly ^H389 comes to poverty ^H4270.

6 The acquisition ^H6466 of treasures ^H214 by a lying ^H8267 tongue ^H3956

Is a fleeting ^H5086 vapor ^H1892, the [fn]pursuit ^H1245 of death ^H4194.

7 The violence ^H7701 of the wicked ^H7563 will sweep ^H1641 them away ^H1641,

24 “Proud ^H2086,” “Arrogant ^H3093,” “Scoffer ^H3887,” are his names ^H8034,

31 The horse ^H5483 is prepared ^H3559 for the day ^H3117 of battle ^H4421,

But the victory ^H8668 belongs to the LORD ^H3068.
