Judgment on Tyre

1 Now in the eleventh ^H6249 H6240 year ^H8141, on the first ^H259 of the month ^H2320, the word ^H1697 of the LORD ^H3068 came ^H1961 to me, saying ^H559,

2 “Son ^H1121 of man ^H120, because ^H3282 H834 Tyre ^H6865 has said ^H559 in regard ^H5921 to Jerusalem ^H3389, ‘Aha ^H1889! The gateway ^H1817 of the peoples ^H5971 is broken ^H7665; it has [fn]opened ^H5437 to me. 15 The Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068 says ^H559 this ^H3541 to Tyre ^H6865: “Will the coastlands ^H339 not shake ^H7493 from the sound ^H6963 of your downfall ^H4658 when the wounded ^H2491 groan ^H602, when the slaughter ^H2027 takes ^H2026 place ^H2026 in your midst ^H8432? 16 Then all ^H3605 the princes ^H5387 of the sea ^H3220 will descend ^H3381 from their thrones ^H3678, remove ^H5493 their robes ^H4598, and strip ^H6584 off ^H6584 their colorfully ^H7553 woven ^H7553 garments ^H899. She and her inhabitants ^H3427,

Who ^H834 imposed ^H5414 [fn]her terror ^H2851

On all ^H3605 her inhabitants ^H3427!

18 ‘Now ^H6258 the coastlands ^H339 will tremble ^H2729

On the day ^H3117 of your downfall ^H4658;

Yes, the coastlands ^H339 which ^H834 are by the sea ^H3220

Will be horrified ^H926 at your passing ^H3318.’”

19 For this ^H3541 is ^H3541 what ^H3541 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068 says ^H559: “When I make ^H5414 you a desolate ^H2717 city ^H5892, like the cities ^H5892 which ^H834 are not inhabited ^H3427, when I bring ^H5927 up ^H5927 the deep ^H8415 over ^H5921 you and the great ^H7227 waters ^H4325 cover ^H3680 you, 20 then I will bring ^H3381 you down ^H3381 with those who go ^H3381 down ^H3381 to the pit ^H953, to the people ^H5971 of old ^H5769, and I will make you remain ^H3427 in the lower ^H8482 parts ^H8482 of the earth ^H776, like the ancient ^H5769 ruins ^H2723, with those who go ^H3381 down ^H3381 to the pit ^H953, so ^H4616 that ^H4616 you will not [fn]be inhabited ^H3427; but I will put ^H5414 glory ^H6643 in the land ^H776 of the living ^H2416. 21 I will [fn]cause ^H5414 you sudden ^H1091 terrors ^H1091 and you will no ^H369 longer ^H369 exist ^H369; though you will be sought ^H1245, you will never ^H3808 H5769 be found ^H4672 again ^H5750,” declares ^H5002 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068.
