The Triumphs of Faith

39 And all ^G3956 these ^G3778, having gained ^G3140 approval ^G3140 through ^G1223 their faith ^G4102, did not receive ^G2865 [fn]what ^G1860 was promised ^G1860, 40 because God ^G2316 had [fn]provided ^G4265 something ^G5100 better ^G2909 for us, so ^G2443 that ^G2443 apart ^G5565 from us they would not be made ^G5048 perfect ^G5048.
