For the music director. A Psalm of David.

God ^H430 of my praise ^H8416,

Do not be ^H2790 silent ^H2790!

For they have opened ^H6605 a [fn]wicked ^H7563 and deceitful ^H4820 mouth ^H6310 against ^H5921 me;

They have spoken ^H1696 [fn]against ^H854 me with a lying ^H8267 tongue ^H3956.

They have also surrounded ^H5437 me with words ^H1697 of hatred ^H8135,

And have fought ^H3898 against me without ^H2600 cause ^H2600.

In ^H8478 return ^H8478 for ^H8478 my love ^H160 they act ^H7853 as ^H7853 my accusers ^H7853;

But I am in prayer ^H8605.

So they have [fn]repaid ^H7760 me evil ^H7451 for good ^H2896,

And hatred ^H8135 for my love ^H160.

Appoint ^H6485 a wicked ^H7563 person ^H7563 over ^H5921 him,

And may an [fn]accuser ^H7854 stand ^H5975 at his right ^H3225 hand ^H3225.

When he is judged ^H8199, may he come ^H3318 out ^H3318 guilty ^H7563,

And may his prayer ^H8605 become ^H1961 sin ^H2401.

May his days ^H3117 be few ^H4592;

May another ^H312 take ^H3947 his office ^H6486.

May his children ^H1121 be fatherless ^H3490,

And his wife ^H802 a widow ^H490.

May his children ^H1121 wander ^H5128 about ^H5128 and beg ^H7592;

May the creditor ^H5383 [fn]seize ^H5367 everything ^H3605 that he has,

May this ^H2088 be the reward ^H6468 of my accusers ^H7853 from the LORD ^H3068,

And of those who speak ^H1696 evil ^H7451 against ^H5921 my soul ^H5315.

But You, [fn]GOD ^H3068, the Lord ^H136, deal ^H6213 kindly with me for the sake ^H4616 of Your name ^H8034;

Because ^H3588 Your mercy ^H2617 is good ^H2896, rescue ^H5337 me;

For I am afflicted ^H6041 and needy ^H34,

And [fn]my heart ^H3820 is wounded ^H2490 within ^H7130 me.

I am passing ^H1980 like a shadow ^H6738 when it lengthens ^H5186;

I am shaken ^H5287 off ^H5287 like the locust ^H697.

[fn]And may they know ^H3045 that this ^H2088 is Your hand ^H3027;

You, LORD ^H3068, have done ^H6213 it.

They will curse ^H7043, but You bless ^H1288;

When they arise ^H6965, they will be ^H954 ashamed ^H954,

But Your servant ^H5650 will be ^H8055 glad ^H8055.

[fn]May my accusers ^H7853 be clothed ^H3847 with dishonor ^H3639,

And [fn]may they cover ^H5844 themselves with their own shame ^H1322 as with a robe ^H4598.

With my mouth ^H6310 I will give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 abundantly ^H3966 to the LORD ^H3068;

And I will praise ^H1984 Him in the midst ^H8432 of many ^H7227.

For He stands ^H5975 at the right ^H3225 hand ^H3225 of the needy ^H34,

To save ^H3467 him from those who judge ^H8199 his soul ^H5315.
