False Prophets Ashamed
1 “On that day H3117 a fountain H4726 will be opened H6605 for the house H1004 of David H1732 and for the inhabitants H3427 of Jerusalem H3389, for sin H2403 and for defilement H5079.
2 “And it will come H1961 about H1961 on that day H3117,” declares H5002 the LORD H3068 of armies H6635, “that I will eliminate H3772 the names H8034 of the idols H6091 from the land H776, and they will no H3808 longer H5750 be remembered H2142; and I will also H1571 remove H5674 the prophets H5030 and the unclean H2932 spirit H7307 from the land H776.
3 And if H3588 anyone H376 still H5750 prophesies H5012, then his father H1 and mother H517 who gave H3205 birth H3205 to him will say H559 to him, ‘You shall not live H2421, because H3588 you have spoken H1696 falsely H8267 in the name H8034 of the LORD H3068’; and his father H1 and mother H517 who gave H3205 birth H3205 to him shall pierce H1856 him through H1856 when he prophesies H5012. 4 Also it will come H1961 about H1961 on that day H3117 that the prophets H5030 will each H376 be H954 ashamed H954 of his vision H2384 when he prophesies H5012, and they will not put H3847 on H3847 a hairy H8181 robe H155 in H4616 order H4616 to H4616 deceive H3584; 5 but he will say H559, ‘I am not a prophet H5030; I am a cultivator H376 H5647 of the ground H127, because H3588 a man H120 [fn]sold H7069 me as a slave in my youth H5271.’ 6 And someone will say H559 to him, ‘What H4100 are these H428 wounds H4347 between H996 your [fn]arms H3027?’ Then he will say H559, ‘Those with which H834 I was wounded H5221 at the house H1004 of [fn]my friends H157.’
7 “Awake H5782, sword H2719, against H5921 My Shepherd H7462,
And against H5921 the Man H1397, My Associate H5997,”
Declares H5002 the LORD H3068 of armies H6635.
“Strike H5221 the Shepherd H7462 and the sheep H6629 will be scattered H6327;
And I will turn H7725 My hand H3027 [fn]against H5921 the little H6819 ones.
8 “And it will come H1961 about H1961 in all H3605 the land H776,”
Declares H5002 the LORD H3068,
“That two H8147 parts H6310 in it will be cut H3772 off H3772 and perish H1478;
But the third H7992 will be left H3498 in it.
9 “And I will bring H935 the third H7992 part H7992 through the fire H784,
Refine H6884 them as silver H3701 is refined H6884,
And test H974 them as gold H2091 is tested H974.
They will call H7121 on My name H8034,
And I will answer H6030 them;
