
Dan 4:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

Nebuchadnezzar, first of the Gentile world-kings in whom the times of the Gentiles (Luk 21:24; Rev 16:14) began, perfectly comprehended the universality of the sway committed to him (Dan 2:37, 38); as also did Cyrus (Ezr 1:2). That they did not actually subject the known earth to their sway is true, but they might have done so. The earth lay in their power.
Dan 4:3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
