Jer 7:1-34—The message in the gate of the LORD'S house (Jer 7:1 - 10:25).

Jer 7:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

The general character of the message in the temple gate is, like the first and second messages, one of rebuke, warning, and exhortation, but this message is addressed more to such in Judah as still maintaining outwardly the worship of Jehovah; it is a message to religious Judah, e.g. Jer 7:2, 9, 10; 8:10, 11.
