The touching significance of this book lies in the fact that it is the disclosure of the love and sorrow of Jehovah for the very people who He is chastening—a sorrow wrought by the Spirit in the heart of Jeremiah (Jer 13:17; Mat 23:36, 38; Rom 9:1-5).
The chapters indicate the analysis, viz., five lamentations.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
