Easton's Bible Dictionary

Bay:

denotes the estuary of the Dead Sea at the mouth of the Jordan (Jos 15:5; 18:19), also the southern extremity of the same sea (15:2). The same Hebrew word is rendered "tongue" in Isa 11:15, where it is used with reference to the forked mouths of the Nile.

Bay in Zec 6:3, 7 denotes the colour of horses, but the original Hebrew means strong, and is here used rather to describe the horses as fleet or spirited.

King James Dictionary

Bay: A Reddish-Brown Color.

And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and BAY horses. (Zechariah 3:3)

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words
1 Strong's Number: g2859 Greek: kolpos

Bay:

translated "bay" in the RV of Act 27:39, is wider than a "creek" (AV). Eng., "gulf," is connected.
