Mishael:
(who is what God is?).
(1.) One of the sons of Uzziel, the uncle of Aaron and Moses (Exodus 6:22) when Nadab and Abihu were struck dead for offering strange fire, Mishael and his brother Elzaphan, at the command of Moses, removed their bodies from the sanctuary, and buried them without the camp, their loose‐fitting tunics serving for winding‐sheets (Leviticus 10:4-5).
(2.) One of those who stood at Ezra's left hand when he read the law to the people (Nehemiah 8:4). SEE [MESHACH].
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
