Bid Farewell:

is used in the Middle Voice to signify "to bid adieu to a person." It primarily means "to set apart, separate" (apo, "from," tasso, "to set, arrange"); then, "to take leave of, to bid farewell to," Mar 6:46 (RV); Luk 9:61; "to give parting instructions to," Act 18:18, 21; 2Cr 2:13; "to forsake, renounce," Luk 14:33.

Bid Farewell:

"to bid farewell" (apo, "from," aspazomai, "to greet"), is used in Act 21:6, AV, "had taken our leave of;" RV, "bade... farewell."
