Apiece:
used with numerals or measures of quantity with a distributive force, is translated "apiece" in Luk 9:3, "two coats apiece," AV; in Jhn 2:6, "two or three firkins apiece." In Mat 20:9, 10, "every man a penny," is a free rendering for "a penny apiece;" in Luk 9:14, the RV adds "each" to translate the ana; in Luk 10:1, ana duo is "two by two." See Rev 4:8, "each."

The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
