Pentecost:
an adjective denoting "fifieth," is used as a noun, with "day" understood, i.e., the "fifieth" day after the Passover, counting from the second day of the Feast, Act 2:1; 20:16; 1Cr 16:8. For the Divine instructions of Israel see Exd 23:16; 34:22; Lev 23:15-21; Num 28:26-31; Deu 16:9-11.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
