Arnon:
(roaring) the river or torrent which formed the boundary between Moab and the Amorites, on the north of Moab (Numbers 21:13-14; 21:24; 21:26; Judges 11:22) and afterwards between Moab and Israel (Reuben) (Deuteronomy 2:24; 2:36; 3:8; 3:12; 3:16; 4:48; Joshua 12:1-2; 13:9; 13:16; Judges 11:13; 11:26). There can be no doubt that the Wady el‐Mojeb of the present day [A.D. 1884 ‐ BLB Ed.] is the Arnon. Its principal source is near Katrane, on the Haj route.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
