Tire:
an old English word for headdress. It was an ornamental headdress worn on festive occasions (Ezekiel 24:17; 24:23) and perhaps, as some suppose, also an ornament for the neck worn by both women (Isaiah 3:18) and men, and even on the necks of camels (Judges 8:21, 26).
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
