فَالْمَدِينَةُ الْقُرْبَى مِنَ الْقَتِيلِ، يَأْخُذُ شُيُوخُ تِلْكَ الْمَدِينَةِ عِجْلَةً مِنَ الْبَقَرِ لَمْ يُحْرَثْ عَلَيْهَا، لَمْ تَجُرَّ بِالنِّيرِ.

فَيُحْضِرُ شُيُوخُ أَقْرَبِ مَدِينَةٍ إِلَى الْجُثَّةِ، عِجْلَةً لَمْ يُوْضَعْ عَلَيْهَا مِحْرَاثٌ، وَلَمْ تَجُرَّ بِنِيرٍ،
