فَجَاءَ اللهُ إِلَى أَبِيمَالِكَ فِي حُلْمِ اللَّيْلِ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «هَا أَنْتَ مَيِّتٌ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي أَخَذْتَهَا، فَإِنَّهَا مُتَزَوِّجَةٌ بِبَعْل».

وَلِكَنَّ اللهَ تَجَلَّى لأَبِيمَالِكَ فِي حُلْمٍ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «إِنَّكَ سَتَمُوتُ بِسَبَبِ الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي أَخَذْتَهَا، فَإِنَّهَا مُتَزَوِّجَةٌ».
