ثُمَّ نَهَضَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الْخَامِسِ مُبَكِّراً تَأَهُّباً لِلرَّحِيلِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو الْفَتَاةِ: «تَنَاوَلْ لُقْمَةً تَسْنِدُ بِها قَلْبَكَ، وَانْطَلِقُوا عِنْدَ الْغُرُوبِ». فَبَقِيَ الرَّجُلُ وَأَكَلا مَعاً.
