فَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى: «وَلَوْ بَصَقَ أَبُوهَا بَصْقًا فِي وَجْهِهَا، أَمَا كَانَتْ تَخْجَلُ سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ؟ تُحْجَزُ سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ خَارِجَ الْمَحَلَّةِ، وَبَعْدَ ذلِكَ تُرْجَعُ».

فَأَجَابَهُ الرَّبُّ: «لَوْ أَنَّ أَبَاهَا بَصَقَ فِي وَجْهِهَا، أَمَا كَانَتْ تَمْكُثُ خَجِلَةً سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ؟ فَلْتُحْجَزْ خَارِجَ الْمُخَيَّمِ سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ تَرْجِعُ».
