An Israelite man came bringing a Midianite woman to his relatives in the sight of Moses and the whole Israelite community while they were weeping at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
Then behold H2009, one H376 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 came H935 and brought H7126 to his relatives H251 a Midianite H4084 woman H4084, in the sight H5869 of Moses H4872 and in the sight H5869 of the whole H3605 congregation H5712 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478, while they were weeping H1058 at the entrance H6607 of the tent H168 of meeting H4150.
Then behold H2009, one H376 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 came H935 and brought H7126 near H7126 to his brothers H251 a Midianite H4084 woman H4084, in the sight H5869 of Moses H4872 and in the sight H5869 of all H3605 the congregation H5712 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478, while they were weeping H1058 at the doorway H6607 of the tent H168 of meeting H4150.
Then one of the Israelites came and presented to his relatives a Midianite woman, in the sight of Moses and the whole congregation of the Israelites, while they were weeping [over God’s judgment] at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle).
وَإِذَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ جَاءَ وَقَدَّمَ إِلَى إِخْوَتِهِ الْمِدْيَانِيَّةَ، أَمَامَ عَيْنَيْ مُوسَى وَأَعْيُنِ كُلِّ جَمَاعَةِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَهُمْ بَاكُونَ لَدَى بَابِ خَيْمَةِ الاجْتِمَاعِ.
In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
