Daniel determined that he would not defile himself with the king’s food or with the wine he drank. So he asked permission from the chief eunuch not to defile himself.
But Daniel H1840 [fn]made H7760 up H7760 his mind H3820 that he would not defile H1351 himself with the king’s H4428 choice H6598 food H6598 or with the wine H3196 which he drank H4960; so he sought H1245 permission from the commander H8269 of the officials H5631 that he might not defile H1351 himself.
أَمَّا دَانِيآلُ فَجَعَلَ فِي قَلْبِهِ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَتَنَجَّسُ بِأَطَايِبِ الْمَلِكِ وَلاَ بِخَمْرِ مَشْرُوبِهِ، فَطَلَبَ مِنْ رَئِيسِ الْخِصْيَانِ أَنْ لاَ يَتَنَجَّسَ.
