The earth quakes and trembles
because the LORD’s intentions against Babylon stand:
to make the land of Babylon a desolation, without inhabitant.
The land trembles and writhes [in pain and sorrow],
For the purposes of the LORD against Babylon stand,
To make the land of Babylon
A desolation without inhabitants.
فَتَرْتَجِفَ الأَرْضُ وَتَتَوَجَّعَ، لأَنَّ أَفْكَارَ الرَّبِّ تَقُومُ عَلَى بَابِلَ، لِيَجْعَلَ أَرْضَ بَابِلَ خَرَابًا بِلاَ سَاكِنٍ.
