فَسَمِعَ هَدَدُ فِي مِصْرَ بِأَنَّ دَاوُدَ قَدِ اضْطَجَعَ مَعَ آبَائِهِ، وَبِأَنَّ يُوآبَ رَئِيسَ الْجَيْشِ قَدْ مَاتَ. فَقَالَ هَدَدُ لِفِرْعَوْنَ: «أَطْلِقْنِي إِلَى أَرْضِي».
