Then Pharaoh said to him, “But what have you lacked with me, that suddenly you seek to go to your own country?” So he answered, “Nothing, but do let me go anyway.”

“Why?” Pharaoh asked him. “What do you lack here that makes you want to go home?”
“Nothing,” he replied. “But even so, please let me return home.”

καὶ εἶπεν Φαραω τῷ Αδερ τίνι σὺ ἐλαττονῇ μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἰδοὺ σὺ ζητεῖς ἀπελθεῖν εἰς τὴν γῆν σου καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Αδερ ὅτι ἐξαποστέλλων ἐξαποστελεῖς με καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν Αδερ εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ

فَقَالَ لَهُ فِرْعَوْنُ: «مَاذَا أَعْوَزَكَ عِنْدِي حَتَّى إِنَّكَ تَطْلُبُ الذَّهَابَ إِلَى أَرْضِكَ؟» فَقَالَ: «لاَ شَيْءَ، وَإِنَّمَا أَطْلِقْنِي».

فَقَالَ لَهُ فِرْعَوْنُ: «هَلِ افْتَقَرْتَ إِلَى شَيْءٍ عِنْدِي حَتَّى تَنْشُدَ الرُّجُوعَ إِلَى أَرْضِكَ؟» فَأَجَابَ: «لا شَيْءَ إِنَّمَا دَعْنِي أَنْطَلِقُ».

And Pharao said to Ader, [fn]What lackest thou with me? that lo! thou seekest to depart to thy country? and Ader said to him, By all means let me go. So Ader returned to his country;

Et Pharaon lui dit: Que te manque-t-il auprès de moi, pour que tu désires aller dans ton pays? Il répondit: Rien, mais laisse-moi partir.
